Just when the Panthers give us some hope of a post season, they crush our dreams by losing at home to a badly crippled mediocre team. The playoff hunt is officially over.

On with the grades…

Offense:
Jake Delhomme once again showed why Jeff Davidson has been keeping him on a very short leash. His interception was as bad as any thrown this season, and should have been picked a second time if not for a butter fingers defense. Once the Panthers find themselves down a couple of scores they may as well throw in the towel, they have no QB that can rally from behind it seems. Hopefully next season the new regime will see this as a top priority.

Offensive Grade: D

Defense:
The loss of Thomas Davis appears to be a crippling one, which is great news for Davis this offseason when the Panthers will try to keep him a Panther. Davis has mentioned publicly he would like to remain a Panther. Naill Diggs clearly cannot cover in space any longer. Lets give a young player a shot.

Defensive Grade: D

Coaching:
When was the last time a Panthers opponent was out coached in a game? I would probably have to think back to 2006 if I am being completely honest. John Fox has become completely complacent and satisfied in his employment. The team has grown more and more sloppy over the years.

It is time for a change.
