It is time once again for the highly coveted Huddle Awards. Our staff of Panthers enthusiasts have spent weeks compiling and analyzing raw data. The result, the most accurate and semi worthless awards in the Carolinas. Here we go…

Defensive MVP: Julius Peppers. Peppers started off slow, but once the QB change was made was an absolute terror on the football field. We will always have fond memories of Vikings Coach Brad Childress wanting to pull Brett Favre for fear of him getting killed. Thanks Julius.

Offensive MVP: Jonathan Stewart. This is a bitter sweet award. Stewart showed the entire NFL he is absolutely a feature back in this league. This will make it harder to maintain double trouble, however.

Best Rookie: Sherrod Martin. Martin filled in for starter Charles Godfrey by out playing him in every respect. His reward? A seat back on the bench. All the man does is get turnovers.

Best Off the Bench: None other than Matt Moore who showed us what a balanced offense looks like. You mean passes can be made over 15 yards? What kind of witch craft is this?

Best Coach: Ron Meeks. It seems Head Coach John Fox needs a great defensive coordinator to produce a great defense. Meeks gives the fans memories of the Del Rio Defense. Thanks Ron! Honorable Mention: Dave Magazu, our O-Line has never looked better.

Best Gameday Eatery/Bar: Dan Morgan’s Cheese Mo’z is the place to be. Great food, huge screens, and a Panthers legend to watch the game with.

Best Panthers Coverage: Pat Yasinskas of ESPN. Pat continually provides the fans with top notch coverage, out doing the local beat writers. He isn’t always in the Panthers fan club, but he is always fair. Thanks Pat.

Best Quote: “Jake Delhomme gives us the best chance to win.” by John Fox.  This one will be echoing in the halls of Bank of America Stadium for years to come. Thanks coach.

Best Huddle Kitten: A tough call to make, but the award goes to Huddle Kitten Amber, who not only graced us with her beauty, but also kicked our tails in Fantasy Football. (we kind of liked it)
