Carolina Panthers add a defensive end to roster

The Carolina Panthers made a roster move today by adding a defensive end off of waivers. The Panthers claimed Zach Moore who was released by the San Francisco 49ers. Listed at 6’6 and 280 pounds, Moore fits the physical mold of a 4-3 defensive end for the Panthers.

A previous 6th round draft pick for the New England Patriots, Moore has been in the league for 3 seasons. He did not record any stats last year for the 49ers.

Luckily for Moore, the Panthers are very thin at the moment in the backup defensive end department. The fact that the Panthers claimed him off of waivers indicates there is at least some hope that he could make the final roster. Stay tuned.
