Trouble ahead – Saints lose key players ahead of Carolina Panthers game

The Saints defense that the Carolina Panthers will face this Sunday at Bank of America Stadium just took a huge hit in their official injury report. Let’s face it, the Saints defense was bad, I mean bottom of the league cannot possibly get any worse bad. But apparently they can get worse, and they likely will on Sunday.

According to the New Orleans Saints, both starting Saints cornerbacks are OUT for Sunday’s match against the Carolina Panthers.

First round rookie corner Marshon Lattimore is in the concussion protocol, something Panthers fans can definitely relate to seeing. Lattimore has been one of the few bright spots in the Saints’ secondary.  Veteran corner Sterling Moore is also out due to a pectoral muscle tear.

Without their two starting cornerbacks, the worst defense in the league was just downgraded. The Saints have allowed an average of 500 yards of offense per game so far this season.

Of course, it is up to the Carolina Panthers to take advantage of this situation, something fans currently do not have a lot of faith in. The Panthers need come out and score 30+ if they want to inject a little hope back into the fan base and wipe away the touchdownless home opener against the Bills.

Agree? Disagree? You can sound off right here with thousands of Carolina Panthers fans.
