Google's definition of fate accompli doesn't paint a pretty picture.

I think the rough translation is "it is what it is"

Does that mean "Holy shit we're in trouble"?

That's Latin for "nice accomplishment, fat boy"

Meh he can't play any worse than he did last year. And he has already shown improvement.

I hope Bell continues to hold up good but I'm still hoping for a bargain or two after final cuts,Aug 30th

So... What happens if Bell gets hurt?

The same thing they would do if any starter gets hurt and find a replacement.

I've been down on Byron's play since his first season starting, but it looks like he's starting to put it together.

Great for him and the team. Keep doing well and the Huddle's harsh criticism will turn into a love fest quicker than you can say "Philly Brown".

I have always thought of "fait accompli" as "yeah too late...been decided.." Meaning I don't think it has a positive connotation. Or as someone said "it is what it is."

Like whenever I asked for a raise in the corporate world.

Yes, Jones spelled it wrong in his tweet.

i've always considered it to mean "it's a done deal" with neither good nor bad connotations...not so much "it is what it is" as much as "what's done is done".

This is probably right. Just a fact.

Semantics my boy. It is what it is and what's done is done, either way your destiny is sealed.
