Why does "conservative humor" fail so badly?

Dennis Miller, Ann Coulter(I guess), that Daily Show copycat that was on Fox for a while.

It's all awful. Do conservatives themselves in general find this stuff funny? Do they find non conservative humor funny?

I refuse to believe that this stuff sucks just because I don't agree with the ideology behind it. Maybe someone can explain why conservative humor always falls flat.

Was that a joke or just pain in your ass?

Sarcasm in general is only occasionally funny.

The portrayals like Tina Fey and some of the older SNL debate stuff is funny. Mocking Hillary, Bill, Bob Dole, George HW Bush, etc is pretty good stuff.

Miller has never impressed me. Who is good at political humor?

O'Reillys buddy Stewart is pretty good sometimes.

Please keep in mind, conservatives cannot freely make fun of liberals because the PC landmines are everywhere

Dennis Miller is funnier than any one of the liberal comedians. I'll take the Blue Collar Comedy Tour over any of the liberal comedian concerts. And the funniest jokes I hear from friends are the non-PC ones that make people like Cantrell cry in his Zima.

Comedy is an art form. Pretty much sums up why they suck

I have an idea. How about we put a stop to the "calling out" of lefties vs. righties. It's moronic and gets us no where fast. I promise you guys will be ok if you let go of the sports-team mindset that seems to plague your political worlds...and who knows, you might even broaden your horizons of understanding.

Nah...conservative republicans spend their days working.

Not sitting around the house playing XBox all day and trying to think up funny things to say like liberal Democrats.

comedy, and specifically satire situates around lampooning the status quo... conservatism largely aspires to the status quo (whatever that may be subjectively.) I also think that strong conservatives put politics before comedy... anger and comedy don't mix... rush wouldn't be popular if he told jokes, o'reilly wouldn't be popular if he told jokes... Liberal comedians make their points through jokes... but the comedy comes first... Miller used to be funny, until his politics started coming before his humor... then he stopped being funny. My uncles are some of the most conservative motherf*ckers you'll meet, and they are freaking hilarious... but if you get them on politics... no f*cking jokes. serious business, because THIS COUNTRY IS GOING TO HELL.

if you think like that, nothing is funny.

Louis CK: I'm white, I can get in a time machine and get a front row seat whatever year I land in.

Liberals: Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha! (deep breath) Ah ha ha ha ha ha!

It isn't unfunny. It's mildly amusing. But I know liberals who think it's the be-all end-all of comedy.

Another example....

Larry the Cable Guy: I'm madder than a ***** with lockjaw on Valentine's Day.

Conservatives: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Liberals: God, that man is a pig!

If you don't think that line is funny at all, but you think the Louis CK line is hysterical, I don't know what to tell you. Go on thinking you've got comedy figured out. But truth is you don't have a clue.
