Chudzinski will be a train wreck of a head coach

Cleveland sure knows how to pick them.

Chudzinski had major growing pains just as an offensive coordinator, and still had not settled into the job. Now they are going to triple his responsibilities? This is going to be fun to watch.

Chud is the offensive equivalent of Jack Del Rio.

Exactly. Cleveland is not a good organization. It's where players and coaches go to die.

he's smarter than river, tho. he had enough sense to go out and get a guy with HC experience on his staff.

we'll be looking for a replacement before them.

I never thought of him as much of a leader. More of a crazy, aloof analytical type. Like a quieter version of mike martz. That doesn't really translate into head coaching material.

Thats a good comparison. A less experienced Mike Martz.

His offense won 10 games with Derek Anderson in Cleveland, and he took this unit from worst to top 10 with a rookie quarterback. I wouldn't be so quick to write the guy off.

As an OC, yes

They also interviewed Mike Zimmer. BIG mistake not hiring him.

But that's good since he'll be around next year if/when we fire Rivera. Zimmer is going to make one hell of a head coach for some team some day.

if his skills as a leader transcend his skills as a playcaller and scheme designer he may be alright. I'd think his time as a TE coach would be the best insight into his in-the-trenches leadership abilities

I do think it was smart to bring Norv Turner along, though. That'll help him a lot.

Not so sure about that. All Chud has going for him is a crazy love for offensive X and Os. That job will be Norv's.

Chud isn't much of a leader or manager, which are now his main responsibilities.

whoopsie

True, but Norv handling those things gives him a chance to work on the other stuff - assuming he makes an effort to.

How long before we are stuck with Chud calling our games on fox?

Not.

Cleveland has a better record than the Panthers in 2013. Bet.

Now that Chud is there, it may be a place where RBs go to die.

I may have to rethink keeping T-Rich on my fantasy team.

wasn't there a similar thread when Fox left? I sure hope Fox can land on his feet.

I wouldn't be completely shocked if this were the case. I don't think we were much better than them last season. I haven't looked at who they play, but we will have a tough schedule.

They play the Steelers, Ravens and Bengals 6 times....I'd say that's pretty tough.

I mean I'm kind of bummed we have to deal with looking for a replacement, based on continuity's sake, but I'm happy for the guy. I mean he gets to coach his favorite team he grew up watching. That's a dream come true right there. good for him and I wish him the best.

2013 Cleveland Browns Opponents

Home: Baltimore, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Miami, Chicago, Detroit,
Jacksonville

Away: Baltimore, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, New England, N.Y. Jets, Green Bay,
Minnesota, Kansas City

I think Browns are looking at 5-6 wins next season.

I'll give them 7-8.

I give the Panthers 3-5 considering the offense will have to learn a new playbook. Cam has been coddled for 2 years. It could get ugly with the wrong OC
