Hakeem Nicks could come here & average 90 Rec 1200 Yd 10 TD over a 5 year span & people would still bash him because he's a UNC guy.

Do yards count on the scoreboard? just wondered as he didn't score any tds

No, but they get you a lot closer to the end zone.

Can we not compromise and get a WR who does both

Nicks produced more than Smith last season.

Not a chance. He didn't have a single touchdown.

His crappy QB had 30 turnovers. THIRTY. He played on the most dysfunctional offense, & team, in the NFL with arguably the worst QB. Not to mention he played the season on a bum leg.

PS... He was still better than Steve Smith, who played on a 12-4 team with a Pro Bowl QB.

Ok wel I guess you know more than his giants coach who's a SB winner. I'd expect him to be better than an aging receiver who's a shadow of his younger self.

Eli Manning, two time Super Bowl champion. Yeah, he sucks, poor Hakeem Nicks.

Because the only other comparable WR available via free agency or the draft is Sammy Watkins, who will be gone in the first 3-5 picks.

Hey awesome, a young "elite" WR in a contract year produced slightly more than mid-30s Steve Smith.

Lock that bad boy up before he slips away!

You can't blame Nicks fully. The Giants O-Line was rotating as much as our secondary.

We could magically have Calvin Johnson fall into our laps and we'd still have some nubs claiming he isn't as good as 89.    SMH.

Look you like nicks that's your choice I do not so il agree to disagree with you, I'm not arguing over a guy because I simply do not rate him based on two seasons production which is what counts as far as I'm concerned.

While injured, in a horrible offense.

Must be an echo in here.

Not even remotely comparable.

Nicks isn't in the same universe as Johnson.

Smith was injured a nice chunk at the end of the season as well. We also had a bottom tier offense.

You're right. Nicks was better than Johnson before his injuries.

If you think Nicks is even remotely reason for the Giants debacle you didn't watch them at any point last season

Cam had 24 TD's to 12 INT's.

Eli has 18 TD's to 27 INT's.

Bottom tier doesn't begin to describe Giant's O.
