What you should knowMONTEPELIER - The Federal Emergency Management Ageny was
asked by Gov. Peter Shumlin to provide a temporary housing
to Vermonters who lost their homes due to the flood brought
by the Hurricane irene.
The governor's request hasn't been answered yet, but FEMA
is storing about 10 mobile housing units in Springfield
in anticipation of the request being granted, said Lawrence
Miller, the secretary of the Agency of Commerce and
Community Development. More units could be brought in if needed.
