  1. The Kaelin Clay trade was a nice touch. So was the Worley release. I thought the Poe signing was great. I think he brought in safety help and Cockrell was a thoughtful signing. The back end of our defense is improved which is ultimately why we lost to NO.

    Shady McCoy

I think its 5050. She is a gold digger....but she was beaten. Seems like the truth is going to lie in their phones. There is no doubt this lady was beat to hell. Interestingly enough their motives are the same. She wants his house and her only way to get that is to prove abuse and have a protective order passed through. Now magically she can after all these years of "unreported abuse." One sign that a women could be perpetuating the abuse herself is that it happens during a home or custody dispute. I personally think that if two people have had a relationship for years and there's never been any complaint of abuse....then all of a sudden when there is a lot of money on the line....abuse abuse abuse....that's a red flag. That said, Shady McCoy had someone squatting in his house with many valuables and was probably blackmailed out of it. So there is motive. The counterpoint to this is.....there are a lot of people that probably knew that it was McCoys house only occupied by only a female....leaving it vulnerable for intrusion. So it is possible Shady was set up. The truth is....9 times out 10 whenever we see a domestic abuse claim....both parties are trypically abusive or have shown signs. Sometimes all women have to do is take one beating and they're financially set their whole life...so often times they will bait men into committing abuse. However in this case....the abuse was conducted by a third party. If they can't prove any relationship between the intruder and McCoy then McCoy walks regardless of any he said she said circumstantial evidence. In these cases I only hope that the truth comes out and dealt with accordingly. Personally I've learned not to publicly shame any men before he has his day in court and the facts come out.

    Jimmy Clausen is still trash

It's because of his nickname. Jimmy Pickles Clausen. It's hard not to rag on that. It's a tough one to overcome.
  4. It's not that I disagree with you. Just I can't help myself. Technically...you're reading this crap.

More info on the Tepper meeting

I really do some on here end up googling and then reading Dale Carnegie.
  6. TheMaulClaw

    Tepper the biggest question unanswered?

The Charlotte Observer will always prevent the Panthers from signing players with history. That paper blows things way out of proportion way too much.
  7. With all due respect. Someone doesn't just drop 2.2 billion cash...almost 20 percent of their net worth to remain absent.
  8. Well I don't like it...but I'll reserve judgement on Tepper personally until the press conference.
  9. The reason he's the owner and not Navarro is because he's a yes man to the NFL.
  10. I'm obviously very disappointed. I do want you guys to know in some of the earlier threads about ownership that Mr. Scot started I quoted a source that I met here in Charleston. He was a legit source, it just didn't go as planned. I do remember he told me that "no news is good news"....but we've heard news unfortunately. Just want the board to know that I feel sort of bad about the sale not going as planned to Navarro and I apologize if it appears that I gave false information to the Huddle.
  11. We have to start developing the ability to play man to man. Brees picks that zone apart. We've got to have the ability to do both if need be. I'd say we're still a zone team by far though so I wouldn't worry to much.

It's all relative because it's about matchups. Personally I think we drafted Jackson exclusively for the Saints.

Outside of UDFA. Everyone is mad that we took short corners....but we did make it to the Superbowl with Ricky Manning Jr and Terry Cousin. Two short guys.

    Carolina Panthers Select Dj Moore

Atlanta is a good team whether we like it or not. Anyone they would've have picked would've been scary. We can't make our picks based off blocking other teams. We need to make our picks based on what's best for us. DJ Moore is a better fit for us then Ridley. If we would have taken Ridley and they would have taken Moore people would be doing the same thing on this board just reversed. We drafted a player that really does compare well to Steve Smith in terms of style. I like the pick and I'm happy he fell. When the Saints moved up I thought for sure they were going Moore. Then I thought the Patriots might pull the trigger because of losing Cooks and Amendola. Let's just be happy the draft fell the way it did.
  15. We've gotta keep Byrd...because he can return the hell out of the ball on ST.
  16. I'm neutral to Hurney. Yet I'm convinced that some on here will hate whoever he picks...cause anything he does is wrong. I wonder if some on here would rather see him fail then the team do well.

    Would you draft Shaquem Griffin?

Nothing in depth. I have watched some youtube clips of him. I think the guy is a great athlete....and has a lot of talent and determination. If he didn't have that handicap he'd be a top 10 pick. It's just that he does....and personally I can see how that can translate into missed tackles and dropped picks. The RBs and WRs he's going to play at the next level posses the same athleticism and that handicap will be a bit more amplified. If Devonte Freeman is giving him a stiff arm....he's gonna have a tough time. In the NFL they're going to prey on the weaknesses even more. I hope I'm wrong...and I'm sure that if anyone has the opportunity to realistically do well with a handicap like that...it seems like he'd be the guy. There is a chance he does great. Just too many unknown variables with his issue kinda make it hard to draft him...at least high. Just my opinion. Could be wrong.

    Would you draft Shaquem Griffin?

Wouldn't hesitate with a 7th or as an UDFA. Great story...but on the field it's natural selection. Right, wrong, or indifferent.
  19. If he was that guilty....why aren't the victims still speaking out? Also....if he was really guilty and not just old and out of touch the NFL would have taken over the sale of the team. I think Jerry said some unwise things and the correct actions are being taken.

Possible delay in the team sale

I've already dropped Goodnight's name once...but I'm sure Navarro has considered all his best options.
  21. I think everyone should just turn a blind eye and let Jerry go out his way. He manned up and decided to sell the team. Found a good new owner for us. He brought the NFL to the Carolinas. This story about JR is obviously bad. He didn't drag it out. He decided to sell. He's old...let him have one last ride in the war room and say goodbye to something he built. No one should talk about it...or acknowledge it...just let it run it's course and move on. By TC it won't matter.
  22. He did play with the Fridge.
  23. Yeah he was. He was a qb coach here at Charleston Southern while he was living in my house. I think he's at Coastal now.
  24. So the tenant who was living in my house before I bought it was a guy named Willie Korn. He played qb for Clemson while Bersin was at Wofford. Apparently they're friends
