  1. Anyone ever cook Sous Vide???

I was thinking more along the lines of overcooking/undercooking steak and lobster, especially if you don't have nice thermos to use. Put a ribeye in there, get it to 10 degrees from Med Rare, throw it one the grill for 1.5 minutes per side and it's perfect....even thick cuts like bone in chops, and tomahawk steaks that are tougher to nail the internal temps. I guess you could call that mistake, but I think it's more of a lack of experience cooking those type dishes. Personally, I cook a ton, and don't really need one, but I can see where many may.
  2. Tragic, but not surprising. Your main goal in that situation is to: 1: Make sure your wife/kids are safe. 2: Make sure that you are safe. 3: Try to get care for the injured party 4: Get the license plate number, take a mental picture of the assailant, and his car. 5: Get said information to the police as soon as possible. Never get yourself into a situation where seemingly no more injuries are about to happen.
  3. First off, I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything. Secondly, I didn't say this year, I said the next 2 years.
  4. The New One Percent

    This is a freaking joke.
  5. What the hell are you talking about? You keep trying to put words in my mouth so you can revert back to your original post that teams with aging QB's don't go "all in". I just pointed out one team that did it just this season....IMO. Your's seems to be that those are great, young players that they just accidentally overpaid. They went out and got some of the "best" FA talent out there to make a run, while not preparing for the longterm future of the team.
  6. They overpaid not just for this season, but the next as well....like the next post I made said. You can choose not to believe that teams go "all in" I do.
  7. Anyone ever cook Sous Vide???

IMO, and I don't mean this to be snotty.... But, it's a really good way for average cooks to get above average/great food on a consistent basis. It takes much of the guesswork out of steaks, thick pork chops, and especially seafood like lobsters. You almost can't overcook, or undercook them if you pay attention, and know how you like your food temps.
  8. Jury Duty - What Would You Do?

It was the correct call, no question.
  9. My post says nothing about last year. Wonder if the Giants went "all in" this year? Above is what I said.
  10. You said: and you don't see people applying it to other teams with aging QBs I disagree. The Giants have an aging QB, and they just spent 100M guaranteed on Janoris Jenkins, Olivier Vernon, and Damon Harrison. IMO they are throwing all caution to the wind in search of another deep playoff run.
  11. Disagree. The Giants went "all in" for the next 2 years....knowing that Eli is aging, and if wins don't come soon, they will be rebuilding.
  12. Wonder if the Giants went "all in" this year?
  13. Cam Luke KK Olsen Turner TD (Norman)
  14. A team with a top 5 QB that has gone 7-9, 7-9, 11-5, and 7-9 over the past 4 seasons, with little hope of a better season this year, and said aging QB quickly losing ability? If I were the owner, heads would be rolling. They mismanaged by going "all in" and it backfired....now they are in a perpetual "all in" situation. No thank you.
