  1. Gettleman says BPA philosophy changed this year.

KB had a few more years, so does Turner. I believe Star has two more years, so the only immediate need is KK who we have money to sign even with a Josh Norman deal. You don't need to hold 30 million for a player you're going to sign 3 years from now.
  2. It's not just this draft that makes me realize we should have paid Josh Norman, it's thinking back to last season. How many times during the course of last season did you stand up and say "PAY THAT MAN" I'm sure you can flip through old game threads, it was said a lot. Norman made game changing plays last year. He was a dynamic playmaker for this team. I'm not saying we should have paid him what Washington did, but I don't think we had to go that high. The Seahawks paid Richard Sherman, The cardinals paid Patrick Peterson, you could argue that Revis was the reason the Patriots won the Super Bowl. CB was already considered a need coming in, with Josh Norman on the team. I think two reaches by our GM, who typically doesn't reach for need, shows just how bad the situation really is.
  3. Sorry. Gettlemens Draft This Year Blows

At least Hurney would have paid Norman

No we're offended he essentially released our all pro corner, then proceeded to reach for two more when he had a good one under contract for a year at minimum.

Actually a threesome, don't forget about Breeland. I hate to say it, but Gettleman needs some Hurney in him. Just fuged up a draft over a few million dollars. I'm starting to think we should have gotten creative with Norman's contract to keep him. I trusted the move initially, now it looks like he's panicking.
  6. Nobody is saying the kid is going to suck. I think the upsetting part is that you probably could have waited a round or two to draft him, which makes it a reach.
  7. Bradberry is amazing...

Which means even he can't believe this shit
  8. I bet they make Shula wait outside the war room.
  9. Somewhere Josh Norman chuckles, then wipes his ass with a twenty.
  10. So much for BPA. Man I'd rather pay Josh Norman than reach for a damn corner with our second round pick.
  11. Rapoport: Panthers Looking at Quarterbacks

Doubt we would keep 4 QBs on the roster so...
  12. Gettlemen offered Norman just above 10 mill per season

It's called eliminating distractions. Josh wasn't playing without a long term deal, and a long term deal wasn't getting done. No reason to let this drag out for months.

What most of you guys don't understand is that there is a price for playing with a Super Bowl contender. Thereason teams like the patriots are always contending is because they don't just hand out dumb ass deals just because everyone else is. You want to play with the best you have to sacrifice some money to do so. Or you can just get paid. I'm fine with either.
  14. Because they no longer have to pick up the bill when Josh is around.
