  1. Positions we need to upgrade

I agree with a lot of this but my question is do you think this offense could use a WR/TE/RB that could get YAC? The Panthers, for about the 4th year in a row, ranked among the bottom in YAC. And if you do, do you think KB or Funchess (or anyone else on our roster) is capable of that?
  2. Positions we need to upgrade

Thank you. What if KB goes down next year? Or Funchess? Like people do understand that we are not promised an injury free WR unit next year right? What if Olsen gets hurt? I understand you cannot just dump all your resources into the WR position, but we can get better in that area. And it doesn't have to cost a lot or much effort. Again, Andre Johnson or Boldin; and a second round WR/RB with the ability to make guys miss in one on one battles should do the trick.  We cannot continue to just rely on the right arm of Newton. We need YAC in this offense.
  3. Positions we need to upgrade

Honestly Ginn is fine as a No. 3. Him and Brown are good for speed guys. What we need is a playmaker who doesn't just run fly routes but a WR that can catch shot passes and run. That could be solved by a RB or a WR like Harvin or Lockett in the draft. Cotch is the one that can easily be replaced by an Andre Johnson or Boldin.
  4. Positions we need to upgrade

I would really be happy with a Andre Johnson or Boldin to replace Cotch and a dynamic/speed guy in the second at WR. Coleman might be too high of a pick tho. At RB we could use some speed. We need some new tackles.   On defense we should honestly just try to retain what we already have by cutting Allen, CJ, etc. This defense is dynamic and skilled enough to win a SB. It is our offense that needs the influx of new talent.
  5. Super Bowl 51 Is Ours

Thank you. There is no guarantees in even getting back to the playoffs in the next 5 years. I am 100% sure that the Seahawks thought they would be in this game. I mean who in the hell in the NFC was going to stop them? I am 100% sure the 49ers thought they would be back to the superbowl. I am 100% sure the Packers thought with Rodgers they would be back by now.   You never get over a SB loss. Until you absolutely win one. And even then you still wonder what could have been.
  6. Do you trust Gano?

Wait a minute. Nortman literally punted the ball 25 yards when we had the ball at midfield in the second. There is no way in that situation you punt the ball 25 yards when you have a great chance of pinning Manning inside his own 15 yard line. You might be right on the other punts, but no way that punt that lead to our shitty coverage team not tackling the returner (which lead to 3 points) was about hang time.
  7. Do you trust Gano?

I didn't trust our entire special teams. I thought to myself prior to this game, that even if our offense didn't score, we must move the ball in order to minimize the effect of our special teams. In addition to missing the FG: We never gained anything after a punt...in fact we lost yardage because of penalties We couldn't punt the ball inside the 20. Despite one time punting from the 50 We gave up a huge return after not being able to punt the ball inside the 20. On that huge return, if our punter would have punted the ball more than 25 yards, then the Broncos return man would have let the ball bounce inside the 20. Even our extra point and other field goal we did make looked terrible.
  8. Blandino on the no catch call

While that was a bad call...it was clearly a catch. Cotch had NO reason to even bobble the ball to begin with. If he catches the ball he would probably have run for another 10 yards or so given how slow he is. If that was any top 20 NFL WR that pass might have gone for a TD. Again, we must get better at the WR position. We cannot keep putting every yard in the passing game on the right arm of Newton. We have got to get WRs that can catch AND then RUN.
  9. Cam was let down by his offense

Cam didn't play a bad game. He didn't play a great one either. He missed two throws. He also made about 5 throws that should have been caught including the one pass challenged-- there was no reason for Cotch to bobble that ball-- and other Cotch drop that would have put the Panthers inside the 5.  Cam's WRs are what they are. We need to get better and more explosive in that area.
  10. Even Wade Phillips is trolling Cam on Twitter

Exactly. I will take the good with the bad. Cam's attitude has brought him this far in his career. Cam's attitude is what brought him this far, this year. Cam's attitude is also what brought a fairly talent-less offense to the No. 1 scoring. As Cam said, he is who he is. And he is not about to change.
  11. So where does Carolina finish next year?

No, there is nothing wrong with being optimistic. And of course we could be back next year... But unfortunately history is littered with teams who haven't. Just would have loved for us to seize this unexpected moment and win one.
  12. So where does Carolina finish next year?

Everyone keeps acting like we are promised something next year. We are not. That is what makes losing in the SB so horrible.  Nothing is promised. See, the team whose stadium we played in today. For all we know, next year Drew Brees gets a defense and NO wins, or Lovie Smith (I doubt it) was really holding the Bucs back and they win the division, or Vic Beasley turns into a monster and Jones turns into prime Jerry Rice/Moss and Atlanta wins. Nothing is promised to you, and that is what will hurt the most.   EDIT: Oh, and it is also possible that one of our key player goes down with a major season-ending injury and we fall apart unlike this season. That is a possibility too.
  13.   Exactly. Atlanta fans can shut the hell up. Cam Newton, with about 1/10 the offensive talent surrounding him as Ryan, has 3x the playoff victories and an MVP.
  14. I hope DG learned something tonight

This x1000!  Do not turn this into a Lebron situation when he was in Cleveland. We see what Cam can do with a fairly talent-less offense. We see what Cam can do when he is clearly the most athletic person on the offense. We see what Cam can do when he is the only person that the defense really has to game plan for. Yes we see that Newton is capable of winning a SB with less than perfect offensive pieces. Enough is enough. Stop with the defense needs this...the defense lacks that. We have been building the defense since Newton got here.  If they don't have enough to get it done (they already do) with Ron Rivera as our Head Coach and our constant supplying them with talent...then too bad.   Cleveland wasted a good portion of Lebron's prime trying to surround him spare parts instead of simply getting TALENT. The talents of Newton does not give the Panthers the right to ignore that side of the ball and hope that "Superman" can bail them out. Enough is enough.
  15. I'm here all night to defend Cam..

Thank you. This offense must get a dynamic play maker. Cam Newton should not be our only dynamic player on offense. Literally, the only thing defenses fear is Newton. That cannot continue to be so into the future. We must start building a team that reflects the awesome ability of our QB.
