Not trying to hate on the guy, but Philly is built like stick, he's never going to be physical like Moose and Smitty were.
But that's not the biggest problem his biggest problem is holding on to the ball, he doesn't have great hands, why do you think the staff went away from Corey returning punts last year despite his Td return, and decided to put Bersin back there who had zero chance of returning one back. They had to feel Bersin was more reliable fielding punts than Corey who had way more potential as a returner than Bersin, people seem to forget these things.
So a guy that caught nearly everything thrown his way in the games that my eyes saw, doesn't get any burn with the 1's and he's cut. But in our most pivotal preseason game we send a guy out there for nearly the entire game and all he's does is drop passes. Davis Gettis had a better rookie season with a worse QB and when he got back healthy had a better preseason than Philly has had. And they had no problems giving him the boot.
Boykin has been one of the the most sure handed receivers on the Panther's roster every game this preseason, organizations that win consistently like the Patriots seem to make the right personnel decisions at the right time. Here's to no more slow starts to the season, and reshuffling of lineups midseason due to smart evaluations in 2015.
