  1. Prepare the feels

No matter how incredibly hard it is to go back to another Super Bowl, we simply cannot, must not make him feel such agony ever again.
  2. NFL Turning Point: The Clete Blakeman Effect

There is one reason why these missed calls and cheap shots must at least be acknowledged. It could and likely will happen again to us or another team. What will we do then? Just shrug and say "get over it"? This is purely a personal opinion but that's being complacent with a wrong and that's something that upsets me. The game can never truly be fair but that doesn't mean we shouldn't demand that the most important game in a season tries to be for whoever is playing on the field.
  3. Let's talk about Ted Ginn Jr.

You can't teach speed. Do we really want to go back to when someone like Cotchery did run arounds and deep routes? The only other answer on the roster I can think of is Stephen Hill and he may actually have worse hands. Ginn is the only true speed option we have (Philly falls a tad short). Why get rid of him unless we somehow find a replacement that we're certain can be just as effective?
  4. Forte won't be re-signed

The Bears have been a nice bargain bin for some great parts.  About two years too late, though.
  5. If he had tried to recover, with our luck that day, we would've broken a leg or torn knee ligaments. Salt to the wound, media would've blasted him anyways for taking an "unnecessary risk" that jeopardized next season. Besides, it's better to improve the protection around the quarterback so we don't have to deal with fumble recoveries in the first place.
  6. So My Super Bowl 50 Rings Came in the Mail Today

There's loudmouth Broncos fans the next department over at work. Thankfully, it was limited to Monday when I was too sick to focus on much of anything. For those rings, easy call on what to do: Obtain video recording device Grab trusty hammer Pound 'em
  7. NFL Turning Point: The Clete Blakeman Effect

I'll be hard pressed to believe there's a major conspiracy theory. Besides, we weren't prepared enough for Denver's defense. That's on the team. However, I'm also hard pressed to defend Blakeman because there's just too many errors that had a material impact on the game against our favor. All I wanted a sense of fairness or competence from the officiating crew for the Super Bowl and I honestly cannot say right now we got that. If the NFL has any sense, Blakeman should not be the referee when we play Denver for the 2016 season and at any of our home games. It's not at a Bill Leavy/Seahawks level yet but he may have surpassed everyone else as the most disliked referee in franchise history.
  8. Linebackers has been one of the most consistent areas of our team over the years. Can't say they've always been the greatest but ever since I've been a fan, that cupboard has never been empty. The team keeps finding ways to keep it reasonably stocked.
  9. One more thing I wanted to add. I can't say I followed Bill from the beginning (or at all via social media) but I didn't get the impression he provided a lot of negative content. To see him making such sharp comments after the loss and subsequent interview makes me question why he waited until now to put this out publicly. Even if it's a radio bit, I would believe someone that covers the team would try to be objective and not allow personal grudges to influence their opinion because credibility is such a fragile thing in a line of work that demands it. Heck, I could come up with something more palatable: Ten minutes of work with really bad memory.
  10. 2003 or 2015.... which one hurt more?

When you reach a Super Bowl, what you did before doesn't have as much meaning. Not to dismish our accomplishments but like Rivera said, we didn't get that far for a participation trophy. That said, in 2003, we were so close. Just one more thing falls our way and we would have that Lombardi already.  On the flip side, watching this SB was like watching a constant middle finger on TV. Bad plays, bad field, biased crowd, questionable ref, Denver cheap shots, injuries, fumbles that can't bounce our way, defender in lucky position for INT, desire for a fairy tale ending and so on. This was the opposite of 2003: just about nothing went our way.
  11. Your feels... prepare to be hit

Heartbreaking because I have little reason to doubt his words. His body just couldn't match his intensity.
  12. So what about Antonio Gates

I'm all for replacing Dickson with a better option but Gates just isn't. An old player taking PEDs is a huge red flag that his tank is on the edge of empty.
  13. On the one hand, Voth is entitled to his opinion. On the other hand, Rivera can go all Joe Person on him and I'll have a good laugh.
  14. Giants release Beason, considering retirement.

If he wants to retire with us, door is wide open. Anything to hear "Beeeeaaaaaassssssttttttttt!" one more time.
  15. This is crazy

I'm not sure how this is a surprise to anyone. That field has been deplorable since the stadium opened. I am disappointed that given how our field was that we would be more acclimated.
