Public schools have had acceptable and unacceptable speech since the beginning of time. People were sent home from school constantly when I was growing up for dumb t-shirts or skirts too short. I think the teacher is an idiot. I understand banning language like schizo, tranny, retard, etc. But not scientific terms like male and female. But it's her class, and if you or I don't like it, we don't have to take the class. I'd say most of the people taking her women's lib or whatever don't really mind. There's no reason for it to be national news. Also if you read the syllabus, it is clear that it's not a case of if you say the word you fail. It says if you say it once, it opens a discussion for that class and is a learning experience. If you keep doing it, willfully disrupting the class, then she docks your grades. Sounds reasonable.
Good for Barner, really. Like Mr. Midfield said, he has been rejected multiple times for not being able to cut it by the whole league. The fact that he's killing it now is a testament to him getting his act together, not a knock on the Panthers.
They'll be awesome around week 10 when Harper gets hurt and Coleman comes in and suddenly we have run support that doesn't choose the wrong gap and allow 80 yard rushes constantly. The move should be soon enough to end the season strong and boost us to 5-11 or even 6-10.
Things we've established in this thread: Black and white people smoke weed at the same rate. Black people are more likely to be arrested for marijuana. Why? No reason other than the white people somehow teleport the marijuana into their house without ever having driven with it. Black people are 3x more likely to be pulled over. Unrelated, point dismissed. Black people receive harsher sentences because they are all repeat offenders and white people are not, even though they smoke weed at the same rate as white people. I've been thinking about it and Arsen is right, this system works perfectly fine and honestly, enough people don't say this but to me it seems like white people are the real victims here.
So we've established that black people and white people smoke marijuana at the same rate. You posit that the reason the black arrest rate for marijuana is much higher is because white people do it in privacy and black people do it in public. So, what then is your explanation for the fact that when they are arrested for marijuana, white people are given much shorter sentences for the same crime on average than black people?
