That was some good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
I guess the Dook mascot kept holding his head cause he was afraid it was gonna get knocked off.  He was getting lit up!

Well he did mention last year in a post game interview it was Aminis job when he healed up. But then Norwell played too good to be replaced.
Ill agree with you the OL was a train wreck last year.

Drew Blessoe was get up in age and his skills diminishing but he had been an all pro, and they were winning why would belicheck change  QBs
we will never know but I bet Belicheat would have fazed him out the next year or 2. So Brady still would have started eventually. And Belicheat is a helluva coach. No morals or integrity , but a HOF coach
No ones ever mistook Amini for an all pro. He looked god awful last year during the games as well as practice from what I've heard. Norwell had to look better in practice.
I understand not putting a unproven rookie out there but when your 3 rd year player is getting picked up and thrown into your franchise  QBs legs every game. I think a smart coach would try something different.

I don't understand that. Norwell was on our roster. Did he go undrafted by the other 31 ? Yes.
But our coaching staff had been able to watch him in OTAs and training camp+ practices. And they still didn't play him until they had no one else
i don't think you have to be Lombardi to tell the difference in Norwell and Amini
bottom line is Rivera hasn't always put the best 53 out there. Don't matter if they are vets or rookies he    is challenged when it comes to evaluating talent. You can also lay some of this blame on his position coaches.  But he's the head coach and the buck stops with him.

didn't almost every OG we have last year have to get hurt before Ron & co. Would play Norwell. That should tell ya all you need to know about  RRs talent evaluating skills

I could be wrong but I thought I saw Ward on special teams. And I'm sure if he is he's as good on them as Brockel is.

I've seen nothing special from him on special teams in 2 years. That must be coach speak "he's a good special team player" for them to try and rationalize why they've kept him on roster. He was depth when we didn't have any.  Now we have players that  really provide depth and playmaking abilities.
Hate it for Brockel if he is injured  but at least this  might keep Ron from letting a young player go he shouldn't.

Only thing he's done in training camp this year  is walk thru the defensive huddle and piss TD off

I don't know if you can call what he does playing TE. Report last week in one practice was targeted 4 times 3 drops.  I'd rather have someone at a position that excelled over someone who played multiple positions poorly

Tannehill looked like the next coming of Joe Montana last night against our 1st.

I'll  agree with you on some of that. But Brockels time is up. Shouldn't have made the team last year and now there is an actual blocking FB on the roster to replace his sorry ass with. He is a hybrid FB/ TE that can't block or catch? And  not to mention I'm sick of watching him lose his lane assignment on STs. Or actually staying in his lane but missing the tackle.
So he doesn't even do well what he supposedly specializes in.  Why take up a roster spot with a non performing  specialist?
I believe they've played him more this preseason so he could  show his value. And in turn he's proved he doesn't have any. I'm betting Getts has known this for sometime now.

I'm tired of hearing about this so called experience as a reason to keep certain players.  From what I could tell Brockels experience didn't help at all on those blocks he didn't make on the goal line plays. ( and he apparently sprained a  shoulder without hitting anyone )
Tolbert looked like a RB in self preservation mode on those 2 goal line runs.  He hasn't done anything in 2 years.
If this management team keeps someone because they are featured on a ticket. Then the best we will consistently ever be is 8-8. The real good teams make tough decisions minus the emotions it's a what have you done for me lately league.
    Keep the best 53

Sure cause this team has had no problem punching it in from the 1 in the past.
