  1. Panther fans who HATE Cam Newton

I know several Panther fans who, up until the last half of this season, would say with a straight face that the "jury's still out on Cam," some will STILL say this. They would make the old argument, that Cam is pretty good, but maybe one day when he grows up and stops wearing that stupid towel on his head and dancing for first downs, he will be great. This stupid co worker of mine said this to someone yesterday and I overheard it. It took everything I had to not be like WTF!? I think what pisses these people off is that Cam has become one of the best QBs in the league and it didn't take him giving up who he is to do it. I understand if you don't like it when he celebrates first downs or touchdowns against your team, I don't like it when DE's celebrate sacks against us. But the sack upsets me WAY more than the silly dance. If you are a Panther fan and can't cheer for Cam, that is an indictment of you, not him.
  2. Denver fans have officially pissed me off!

This so hilarious!! I'm gonna throw a Peyton Manning likeness in a wheel chair and attach it to my hood!
  3. Rawr Rawr Rawr. He's back!

  4. Wait... what?

Chris Weinke...our first heisman trophy winner.
  5. In Hindsight, 2010 Was Worth It

Don't forget 2001...we went 1-15 with Chris Weinke as our starting QB and George Seifert as our coach. If memory serves, we won out in the preseason and then won the season opener. We then proceeded to lose EVERY game after that in convincing fashion. My old man had PSLs (and still does) so we went to every that year, staying til the bitter end of each one. This was out of no sense of team spirit or loyalty mind you, it was entirety because my dad is legendarily cheap; and if the man pays for something, you better believe he is going to get his money's worth.  We as a fan base have DEFINITELY earned this.
  6. 89 Panther 4 Life! Bottom Line

Hope Smitty gets his statue when he finally hangs it up. He certainly deserves it. That Sam Mills statue still gives me goosebumps every time I walk up to it.
  7. Caption these Cardinals fans...

I saw a guy walking down the stairs on his way out wearing a Arizona Cardinals jersey and a Carolina Panthers baseball cap... I tried to snag a picture but he was booking it out of the stadium. Why the heck do people do that? Just seems completely spineless.
  8. Aren't there crossover ownership rules in the NFL that would prevent Jordan from owning (or at least being primary owner) of an NBA and an NFL team? This is the best source i can find:   " The league prohibits its owners from having Major League Baseball, NBA or NHL teams in another market where a National Football League club is located, because the NFL wants direct competition between its owners limited to the field. It doesn’t want owners, who are considered business partners, in a position where they are going head-to-head for revenue from tickets, sponsorship, and merchandise, which they share."   I'm concerned what happens when JR passes away. Charlotte is a great market, but after watching what just happened to St. Louis...could that happen here if some total chuckle head billionaire buys the team and just wants to make a splash in another market? I think it could. I think it's a long shot...but it could happen.
  9. todays practice tweets

Probably so...many of our fans have no concept of when to yell and when not to. I think the team needs make a quick little "When to Cheer 101" video that they show before the game and then give regular reminders right before offensive possessions about being as quite as possible between the offensive huddle and the snap. I really hate being anal about this, but there are so few things that we as fans can do to actually impact the game...this is actually one of them.
  10. They are all really really promising. This is why we are set up for several more years of future success. We got at least 4 solid players in this draft who all are looking like future studs. Gettlemagic folks.
  11. I'm honestly a little sad to see this. Saints were never good before Brees/Peyton and they appear to on the fast track back to the dregs of the NFL. A real shame because I love New Orleans and their fans are really great passionate fans. I also like having a competitive division where the rivalries are legit and mean something.  Despite what we all think about the Saints as rivals, Brees is one of the truely great QBs of the last 20 years...imo. Too bad he demanded that huge contract that broke this already terribly mismanaged franchise. How Micky Loomis still has a job is beyond me.
  12. Wow. This explains so much about the Browns. You can lead a horse to water...
  13. Knowing how to win close games. Knowing how to stay calm when you are down in the third or fourth quarter. These are more important than pure dominance.  Playoff games are more likely than not to be close and if you are accustomed to blowing everyone out, you could fine yourself in unfamiliar territory.
  14. BOA is classic and isn't going anywhere. As long as it is kept up to date with regular renovations I think we will play there for another 20 years. Location is great and I think it is a great looking stadium. Not a bad seat in the house. While that new place does look great, all the bells and whistles won't change the fact that it resembles a butt hole. Call me old fashioned but I prefer our place.
  15. Do you see Norman being baited by ATL...

Josh Norman of 2 years ago...probably. Josh Norman now, I don't think so. He has shown real maturity all year, especially during the Giants game and following.  I think he knows exactly what the Falcons are trying to do and has enough sense to just focus on shutting down Julio...again.
