I'll throw out an idea that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere. Stop all domestic manufacturing of guns, as well as foreign importation. Basically, cap the total amount of guns in circulation to its current number. Then with gun turn-in programs and guns being seized from criminals the total number of guns in the US will slowly decline, rather than what it is now, millions and millions of new guns added every year. All the registration/license/screening/waiting laws just create more hoops for people to obtain guns legally. They do nothing to stop a criminal from obtaining one off the black market or breaking into a home and stealing one. With hundreds of millions of guns in circulation it's very easy for anyone to obtain one this way. We have an insane amount of guns in this country, far more per capita than any other country. We need to take steps to scale this back. It's not a 100% solution but it's something that needs to be done regardless of any other changes.
Yeah I was wondering about that myself when I saw it live. You can't intentionally bat balls out like that. Refs huddle up to discuss after the play, still nothing. Under 2 minutes so booth can review it if they want, nothing. Hawks get gifted another W from the refs.
