how about this: i, a certified card-carrying gettleman nutswinger and apologist, will make your damn argument for you since you're apparently afraid to: -dave gettleidiot doesn't try to strongarm jordan gross into taking another pay cut after 2013. he doesn't get so mad he literally quits football and turns into a twig overnight and gives us one more season to groom a draft pick. this also means no byron bell experiment. bell isn't tendered and is let walk into FA and some other tackling dummy starts at RT opposite gross. -the panthers coax smitty into playing another year with a reasonable contract extension that features voidable years. dave gettledouche's mt. everest sized ego doesn't get in the way and he goes off for 1300 yards and 10 TDs capping his career in style. -failing a smith retention, draft both benjamin and robinson in the 1st/2nd rounds of the draft. pass on ealy. this gives the panthers interchangeable 1A and 1B receivers of the future. hell do it anyway. -give munnerlyn what he wants. he starts at nickel while bene and norman man the outside. -say fug you to roger goodell and dare him to discipline hardy, a man who has been rendered a trial de novo which arguably means the original conviction never happened wow that felt dirty

that's really weak even by "baww nate chandler and byron bell" shitposting standards my man at least lie and say you wanted donald penn or something
  3. fug Em

didn't luke kuechly play against them in the divisional with a torn labrum too didn't seem to hurt his pass coverage

really the big screwup was on the offensive line, and there are a bunch of other factors at play there. coming up with an opening day roster isn't a conspiracy of one. position coaches or rivera could have talked up bell/chandler a bit too much in an attempt to convince themselves they were going to work out and gettleman trusted their opinions. gettleman risks undermining rivera by trying to strong-arm him when it comes to depth chart decisions, so he likely stepped back. maybe he knew they were hot garbage but at the same time (rightfully) figured anthony collins as an overpriced bust and knew the other tackles on the market at the time (albert, veldheer) had too high an asking price. with contract extensions for franchise cornerstones looming he decided to bite the bullet for a season. there just weren't a ton of alternatives and if somebody wants to stand on their soapbox and yell about how it's "just unacceptable" to line those two up at tackle without providing a detailed explanation of what they would have done then they can have fun with that; i just don't give a poo. even a few of the guys that people on this site were wild about during/after the season (like justin britt and james hurst) have petered out. hurst was one of the worst tackles in the entire league last season and britt started out at tackle, was moved to guard, and ostensibly is going to be tried at center this coming season. meanwhile trai turner was a pro bowler.

so basically one of your conspiracy websites needs to debunk their own bread and butter which is driving views and clicks for you to even be skeptical of those claims. or not uncritically accept them, even. oh no no wait, hold on. they'd be a part of the "establishment" then. so forget it.
  7. Sports Illustrated ranks their 50 fittest athletes

it's another thing that makes me roll my eyes whenever some idiot pipes up and goes "hur american football players are fat it doesn't take any skill to play that sport" if that was true then any 6'5" moron on the planet who is over a certain weight could make millions playing quarterback in the NFL. those guys are superhuman mutants. even the "try hard" marginal type guys who maybe don't have archetypal speed, athleticism, or size are very physically gifted.
  8. The Clinton Body Count

snopes is also far from the first outlet to take issue with it but i'm far from a fan of the clintons and don't want to seem like an apologist. the second point is a good one though. not even the rock stars like dylan avery and alex jones are immune to that.
  9. The Clinton Body Count

there's the venom we all remember copy/paste something sourced from somewhere and anything contradicting it is automatically establishment disinfo
  10. USA Today ranks the NFL head coaches

well let's think back to what was being discussed by the armchair GMs on this site at the time. basically we should have spent up to the cap retaining smith (who would have had at least a $6 million cap figure in '15 even if he had retired after '14), lafell, munnerlyn, mitchell, and ginn while also bringing in anthony collins. extending our MVP first team all pro quarterback and defensive MVP middle linebacker should have taken a backseat to keeping a roster filled out by spare parts together at all costs. at least gettleman's fugups only have short term effects. the bell/chandler shitshow lasted like three quarters of one season and that's it.

3 out of 5 OL positions had different starters by the end of the season and philly brown was starting to see the field more. plus bene, tre boston, and kony ealy were starting to get more opportunities. it was a tale of two different teams basically.

seems like pretty intelligent responses to your assertions actually

  14. NFL.com selects Panther's best and worst historical draft picks

cam doesn't need "huggers" or apologists anymore. his résumé can do the talking and it's only going to get longer. but, i'm sure there's that one guy trying to call out the "brady huggers" or "luck huggers" on their fan sites too
  15. josh norman tells redskins fan that he was not a fan of the dab

that's a good question for the people on this site who will grab you by the shoulders and shake you (figuratively) while demanding that you cheer for x former panther or you're a dick. he doesn't play for my favorite team anymore. i'm a panthers fan first and foremost so i see everything through my fan goggles in much the same way that, say, a steve smith or julius peppers fanboy sees everything through his SS/JP homer goggles. if you want to do it then have fun with that but it's just two sides of the same coin to me.
