After my post I began to question myself if the phrase "NFL" was actually used and not some other variation.
Well, forget everything I posted. It was not used, what was said was: "This changes everything. This is a catastrophe of biblical proportions. We've just lost the best pocket passer in the entire league". I suppose you could associate the NFL with that comment but more than likely not.
I have failed you Huddle. Please don't vote me off the island.

Also I got to thinking about the time period of when all this is going down. I mentioned earlier in the thread about the radio broadcast switcheroo comment
"This changes everything. This is a catastrophe of biblical proportions. We've just lost the best pocket passer in the NFL".

This may very well give us a clue and I simply over looked it before. I am going on the assumption this was a local broadcast. The last time LA had an NFL football team was in 1994 with the LA Rams. The starting QB at the time was Tommy Maddox with a QB career rating of 72.4. A career long pass of 39 yards with the Rams and finished the season 4-12. That was the final year for the LA Rams. That doesn't sound like the measureables of a "best pocket passer in the NFL". Unless, they were speaking of previous seasons which would put this outbreak before long before 1994.
If this is the case then when the hell did Rick Wake up?

The girlfriend said she tried to call his parents who were in Vegas I believe she said and wouldn't answer the phone, or no answer, something along those lines. I take that as a possible ongoing outbreak in Vegas already in progress and possibly worse. She also said she did try calling 911 but the system was jammed. Going to the ER? Yeah, that might have been a better idea.

The principal still had his head because these infected people are fresh and the bone density is still very strong, in my opinion. In TWD the zombies are basically mush at this point. At one point Tobias tries to stab the principal in the head with his pocket knife and it just seemed to deflect off it.

I don't think she can appreciate the gravity of the situation because she has absolutely no idea how detrimental the situation is, her mother certainly didn't tell her anything. And her mother really has no idea how detrimental the situation is either and she knows more. We the viewers know it's a zombie apocalypse and the epic scale of poo about to go down. These people have yet to figure out what exactly is going on. I do agree with you though, the teen angst shtick gets old really quick including her "I'm a part of this" brother.

Also, I do believe the brother faked the seizure to prevent his sister from leaving. Grabbed a mouth full of soup and put on an acting job. That and later on he made the comment to his mother that he stopped her from leaving.

So, I just re-watched the episode. I think the barber shop family is harboring, or at least the wife is, an infected person. Maybe she wanted them in after the husbands refusal as a means to an end.
I also enjoyed the ole switcheroo with the radio comment "This changes everything. This is a catastrophe of biblical proportions. We've just lost the best pocket passer in the NFL".

If you recall the principal was eaves dropping on class I think in the episode last week. This week while eaves dropping he heard sounds and a lot of disheveling going on. My guess is he went to investigate the sounds and that is where he was bitten. I could be wrong I may watch it again later for clarification.
