  1. What might a Charles Johnson extension look like?

Maybe, I hope that CJ get's his mojo back, but his complaining about playing time in blowout wins is BS.  Anyway, I still think a Nascar pkg of Delaire/Addison - Ealy - Short - CJ would just wreck shop.  The thing about our defense was it was NEVER fully together all year long this year, Kuechly went down, then when he came back, CJ went down, when CJ got back Bene goes down, then Peanut.  I'd be willing to give CJ 1 more chance if G-man thinks it's worth it, but if he cuts him, no sweat off my back either, and he can blame himself for acting and being the "me first guy"
  2. Carolina Panthers: Legacy of Linebackers

AJ Klein will sign with someone else and be an utter stud too.  We have been very lucky to have the players we do.
  3. 2003 or 2015.... which one hurt more?

2015.  2003 was special because we overachieved all the way to the superbowl, this year we were the best team in the league until the last week of the season.  I'd imagine this is how the 07 pats felt, but worse because we don't have a previous super bowl...let alone 3.
  4. We need a DE... so whom?

It's Such a shame that Hardy is a real POS, he'd dominate in our defense.  I have a hard time seeing anyone outside of maybe the Bengals give the guy another chance.  I actually think it's kind of likely that someone like JPP will end up here.
  5. 2016 Top NFL free agents - running backs

I might be the minority on it, but I like Morris the most out of that list for 2 reasons, He can block, and he knows how to operate in the zone read.  It was only this year that I realized how important to have a guy who can work in that system, and it's not as easy as people would think.  Adrian Peterson took a step back when they moved to a spread offense with Teddy and so they went back to a pro set and while Peterson did well, Bridgewater regressed.  In Philadelphia, Demarco Murray is a North/South runner who does well in a pro set, instead he was square pegged in a round hole in their system.  Of the guys on the list, only morris seems like a guy who could have a football in his gut and know whether to hold on or let go of the ball in our offense.
  6. This is crazy

I didn't see it, but I heard Norwell did a split in the game that lead to his injury and subsequently to us getting pressure right up main street.  I'd love to see a replay and find out if the shitty field had something to do with that.
  7. Dameshek defends Cam

Ya know, the more I've thought about this, the more it's frustrated me for multiple reasons.  First, why the hell is this what we or ANYONE is talking about, the whole situation is ridiculous.  I was then, and still am far more concerned with things that actually happened in the game That said, IF this is the issue we're going to approach, what good would have come from him staying to answer questions?  Was him walking away less professional than Jim Mora going off about "playoffs"?  What about Dennis Green and his "crown their ass" situation?  What about Herm Edwards and his "We play to win the game"?  All of those guys are MUCH older and "more mature" than he is.  Maybe, JUST MAYBE, the most mature thing that happened in the whole situation was actually the thing he's being hammered on.  You always hear it when you're angry "just walk away"...well that's what Cam did, and he's getting crucified.
  8. You need to read this

So, I see "Tonight, Blakeman’s crew was quick to flag late hits"...and immediately quit reading.  Zero credibility when Cam was late hit all game long.
  9. Arthur Blank.... Prostate Cancer

Some things are bigger than football, get well Mr Blank.
  10. Aqib Talib Further Proves Why He Is A POS Human Being

Man Corey Brown is classy....is what the media would say if his complexion was different...
  11. Is Rivera cutthroat enough to make the tough decisions?

Rivera and gettleman have a sort of good cop/bad cop situation going IMO.  Rivera is a players coach, someone everyone loves, he is loyal to a fault and while it hurts him, his players will die for him.  On the flip side, he knows it's a business and let's gettleman force his hand when he needs to (Steve smith, Byron bell, and Charles Godfrey come to mind).  As long as gettleman will force the changes needed and Rivera will take care of the day to day aspects, we'll be fine.
  12. Is Rivera cutthroat enough to make the tough decisions?

He's not, but gettleman is and gettleman will ship out guys if he thinks it'll help the team (see: Smith, Steve)
  13. #gettlemagic No one will DRAFT and prepare us better : I BELEIVE

Bingo, Gettleman understands our scheme better than we do and he gets players that fill the holes we have with players that fit our style.  I think about Darrelle Revis in Tampa, they ran a ton of zone with the best man corner in football, and frankly Revis wouldn't fit here either, it's why understanding our scheme is important.  After bashing Gettleman multiple times for "not making moves", I'm done, I'm eating my crow, the guy will drop something in his toilet that has more football scouting knowledge than I will have in my entire life, I'm just gonna sit back and let him do his thing.
  14. Offensive Tackles cost us the game.

A lot of things cost us, Tackles were just one thing.  Stew getting banged up early hurt us, then Fozzy got hurt meaning that Tolbert was our healthiest runner (and he was god awful with his turnovers), Norwell injury was HUUUUUGE as after that all the sudden pressure started getting to cam from right up the gut, as stated, receivers were just dropping passes like crazy, oh and 4 turnovers hurt us terribly, and well of course the refs did have a major effect on the game because they cant find their asshole from a hole in the ground.  Pretty much on offense, we failed in every single aspect of the game, this game isn't on our defense or special teams, just soully on that offensive unit that just dug a gigantic hole.
  15. The things that will be interesting to me this offseason is the fact that we A)have cap room FINALLY, and B) are actually a destination for players.  In the past, we've had holes and we had to struggle to get quality players to come here unless we upped over other teams offers, but the question is now that we're THE contender, do free agents with "competing offers" decide to come here for a chance at a ring.  Still, in the Gettleman way, I think he take care of the guys he wants to keep first then solidifies the pieces he feels we "need" so that he has full ability to just go after BPA up and down the board in the draft.  March is gonna be more interesting for us this year than in the past few years.
