  1. Trump finally gets a win

I suspect Christie was smart enough to recognize his chances nationally were somewhere between zip and zilch.   Looks like Chris willingly played the role of "political heavy" and knocked golden boy Rubio down a few points in an effort to help his governor homies.  Perhaps if things work out, he will become the next USAG in a Bush or Kasich administration? SC is where Shrub Part To hopes to finally catch fire.  I doubt Palmetto voters will disappoint. They have a consistent record of making bad choices when it comes to politics.  Only question is, how many more states could possibly be as gullible as SC voters?  I'd wager not too many outside the deep South are buying what Jeb is smoking.  As far as Kasich is concerned, apparently the GOP pundits view him as too liberal for many republicans to support.  Too bad, he is the closest thing to a sane candidate the GOP has running.
  2. Panthers had been in control of virtually all their games this season. They were the ones dictating the course of events. It is not unreasonable, especially after two big playoff wins, for the coaches to decide "not to fix what wasn't broken". Make Denver dance to our tune, impose Carolina's will on them.   Might have worked too, except for that fact that Denver was able to impose their will on the Panthers. Seems like our coaches were caught completely off guard and never recovered. TLDR:  Always have a "Plan B".
  3. Well Isn't That Convenient...

Here is the thing, why doesn't the NFL eliminate the appearance of impropriety by restricting the SB officiating crew and those that oversee their decisions to individuals without ties to either participating team?   It seems like there would be ample alternatives available in a league composed of 32 teams.
  4. Last "big" Pub debate

Take that, Trump, Rubio, Cruz and Shrublette.
  5. Boycott Doritos

I would prefer people not snatch my Doritos. Ask politely.
  6. Arthur Blank.... Prostate Cancer

Wishing you a speedy recovery Mr. Blank and your Falcons many years of futility when playing the Carolina Panthers.
  7. Ted Ginn Jr. Running Out of Bounds

This^^^ I am confident, based on his play during the AZ game, that if Ginn thought there was a way to the end zone during the SB he would have taken it without hesitation. Ginn is built for speed, he is not going to run over too many defenders.
  8. Ted is such a sorry excuse for a human being.   Of course anyone that has been paying attention for the last few decades would already know that. Looks like the hero of gun rights extremists has finally discovered the NRA's g-spot after all these years. Not that the NRA doesn't enjoy a good diddling by Ted, but it is now feeling a little dirty in the after glow.   So the NRA, to avoid further public ridicule, has to say goodbye to the very nasty, naughty, Nuge and their longtime mutual love affair with things long, hard and hot.
  9. Aqib Talib Further Proves Why He Is A POS Human Being

I suspect in his mind he would rationalize the lost paychecks as the price for getting to wear a SB ring.
  10. Dem Debate - One on One, Bernie vs Hillary

It has taken generations for the rich and powerful to claw back all the control and privilege they enjoyed prior to FDR. Dismantling the post depression banking regulations during the Clinton era was a cause for celebration by the monetary elite.  Within a decade most of us who cared realized why our grandparents appreciated FDR's policies so much and elected him to office so many times. Thanks to Reagan's failed trickle down/voodoo economics the gap between the very wealthy and the rest of our society is as bad or worse than the pre-FDR crony capitalist 1920s, just before the Big Crash. Many of the rich and powerful in this country see their greed as a good thing. Greed does motivate some people to be more productive than they would otherwise be, but taken to the extreme, where we are today, it results in an unhealthy concentration of wealth threatening our consumer society and our representative democracy. Of course it won't be easy, but our alternative as a society is to allow current trends to continue to their logical conclusion.  That will result in the destruction of our individual freedoms and ultimately our once great nation. The 1% have left us with no other options.
  11. Ted Ginn Jr. Running Out of Bounds

From the one angle viewed on TV it appeared he was bracketed all the way to the sidelines.  Not sure there was much additional yardage to be had by taking a hit in that situation.
  12. An Interesting Clete Blakeman Stat

Are the refs incompetent or biased?   Who really knows for sure, there is so much going on during these games it is likely they could call penalties every down if they chose to do so. The question is, what if any rational do these refs use to determine when or when not to call a penalty? When the calls are highly one sided, it definitely generates reason for concern and wouldn't be the first time in SB history. Still remember the Seattle-Pittsburgh SB as a good example of one sided, game changing, critical calls that were suspect.
  13. An Interesting Clete Blakeman Stat

Maybe it is just me, but I've never liked CBS's NFL coverage for this very reason SB or not.
  14. Dem Debate - One on One, Bernie vs Hillary

As you are well aware...  NC requires a minimum coverage on your auto policy, just like the ACA.
