You seem to have missed the part where LeBron would kick the ball out to teammates who weren't open with the shot clock running down. In any case LeBron was not there mentally that series. It was clear as day. Go back and watch the way LBJ played against a strong Bull's defense in the 2011 ECF. That's how the best player on the planet is suppose to play when his team is in need. Then LeBron did a complete 180 against the Mavs. He crawled into shell and it cost his team.
If LBJ played against the Bull the way he did against Mavs they would not have even made it to the Finals in 2011. He spent large chunks of the 4th quarter standing in the corner like he was Bruce Bowen. But I guess that was his teammates fault...
LeBron, Wade, and Bosh carried the offensive load every season while they were together. That's how that team was built. And Chalmers had a nice series against the Mavs. He came up big with some key shots.

Strong argument. Cuban knows his team won because LeBron was a no show. Making the right play, finding the open player etc is fine when you're a role player or at the very least aggressive in doing so. LeBron isn't a role player and wasn't aggressive at all in that series in 4th quarters. He would often take a couple of dribbles then kick the ball out to his teammates who weren't even open with the shot clock running down.

Are kidding me? Did you even watch that series? LeBron was scared to even take the ball to the rack against the Mavs in the 4th quarter. He didn't do a good job of scoring. He didn't do a good job of making plays for he teammates. He didn't do ANYTHING when his team needed him to be aggressive. Even some of the most devote LeBron fans can admit he dropped the ball in that series. I'm not sure what your excuse is.

LeBron was terrible. There is no way to sugarcoat it. Go back and look at his nearly non existent 4th quarter stats in that series. He played like a poor man's Scottie Pippen. If LeBron brought his B-game the Heat would have won that series with the way D-Wade was playing.

Come on now. D-Wade was healthy in 2011 against the Mavs. He averaged 27, 7 & 5 on 55% shooting in that Finals series.
Meanwhile LeBron was a no show when his team needed him the most. That series ended any discussion between he and MJ.

How does linking me to his advanced stats that are without comparison or context prove that Lin was one of the worse rotational players in the league? Advanced stats show that he was one of the Lakers best players. Which isn't saying much because they were terrible but still... He had the second highest number of win-shares on the team. It's no wonder Scott had Lin split minutes with Ronnie Price (LOL) as the Lakers were tanking.
In any case Lin was never allowed to play to his strengths in LA/HOU. It seems Clifford will let him play his game. Lin isn't a world beater by any means. But he is solid and should help the Hornets.

That's not even close to being true. And you seem to only take scoring into consideration. Hornets needed a playmaker off the bench. Not another one dimensional scoring wing.

Based on what? Both have had basically the same output the last few years. It's beside the point though. Hornets don't need another wing.

Not sure why you face palmed. But okay...

  11. Implied Volatility added a post in a topic Why is everyone pegging Zeller ahead of Frank?

Knowing Clifford, Zeller will almost certainly be the starting PF at the beginning of the season.
That doesn't mean Zeller will remain the starter or even get more minutes than Frank.

I really don't understand what you mean. Any firm that's net short today is having a great day. They aren't panicking. More like celebrating.

Any hacking group that want's to create panic would be a fool to attack the NYSE. You'd want to attack the CME and/or the CBOE. Market players don't really care about the NYSE being down when you can still hedge your positions with index futures/options.

This isn't a "severe" sell off by any means. They always cancel orders when this sort of thing happens. And the futures market doesn't seem to be spooked by the NYSE halting. So I doubt it was anything other than a glitch of sorts. But I could be wrong...

NYSE, Nasdaq, CME, CBOE etc have glitches and halt trading from time to time. Nothing that unusual.
