  1. Arthur Blank.... Prostate Cancer

I wish him well. With that said, I still can't believe Arthur Blank isn't some Mafia Godfather.
  2. If Cam Newton wasn't a Panther...

I mean yeah, if he is a Falcons player, Panthers fans would react differently to it.  That is a divisional opponent. Generally though, yeah I would still love Cam Newton.  I love athletes like him, guys who don't give a crap what others think about them and just do their thing (Kobe Bryant, Russell Westbrook, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, etc.).  It makes it even better that he plays for my favorite team.  It's the perfect combination.
  3. Today's presser: Cam, Ron and Getty

    Newton's interview was fantastic.
  4. Somewhat unrelated but I wonder when the next time we will hear from Cam Newton is, in any capacity.
  5. WTF was that trick play yesterday?

Don't get me wrong, it shouldn't have been called. However, Malik Jackson played that WELL.  Cam would have been wide open if Jackson wasn't smart enough to stick on him.  Not sure a lot of DL are smart enough to do that there.  Would have been a big play otherwise, assuming Ginn throws it accurately.
  6. Kony Ealy

Wilkerson would be a DT in a 4-3.  You know this, right?
  7. I don't get what your point is. Offense was still very good this season.  Nobody is saying they were the reincarnation of the '07 Patriots or anything, but they made a lot of big plays and especially in the second half of the season, played great football. So I guess I'm just confused as to what you want to discuss.  That Shula isn't that good of a OC?  Maybe.  I'd disagree to an extent.  Otherwise though our offense played WAY better than the talent level says they should have.  That is a testament to A) good coaching and B) Cam Newton, not to say the interior OL, Olsen, and Stew don't deserve credit.  They absolutely do.
  8. Kony Ealy

Short, Lotulelei, Ealy, Kuechly, Davis, Thompson, Norman on defense next year... God, I can't wait.  This Super Bowl loss hurts so much but I can't help but be so excited for our future.  We're so talented and young.  It's going to be a dog fight between us and the Seahawks, probably the Packers too because of Aaron Rodgers.
  9. Kony Ealy

While I am still trying to gather my thoughts and emotions about the game tonight... this man deserves his own thread.  What an absolutely beast performance by him today.  Defense as a whole, including Kuechly and Norman, were outstanding but Ealy was the star. He's played so well all season long and he is one of the reasons why we should be optimistic for next season.  Him, Short, and Lotulelei are going to form one hell of a defensive line.
  10. I have faith in my team, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous as hell.
  11. Denver Sports Radio/Cam PR Person

Cam only came across as bored and tired when he was being asked silly, repetitive questions. When reporters asked him original stuff, he was the same, happy Cam we're used to seeing.  My favorite question was probably when the Mexican reporter brought up Blinn College and asked him how the experience was when he played Mexico City's top team.  You could tell Cam was legitimately interested by the question and he went in-depth with his response.
  12. How much more are they going to talk about Peyton Manning on NFL Network? The wait to the game has been brutal.  Only 6 hours and 20 minutes left.
  13. Next week is gonna be nuts

I think I'll be able to handle the wait well for most of next week.  I'm actually really looking forward to media day and all the attention.  We have some really entertaining guys on the team so there should be a ton of fantastic material. What will really begin to test my able to focus on anything else in life will be once 12am hits and it becomes Sunday.  The wait from that point is going to be unreal.  I'm not sure I'll be able to handle it.
  14. What is our gameplan with T.D.

He'll probably see a tad less snaps than usual but I don't think we're going to limit him in any specific way.  If we did though, it'd probably be to take him off the field for running downs where he might have to shed a block.  Also might see him blitzing less.
  15. Conan O'Brien and the Superbowl

Cam would be a great choice but I don't think he'd agree to do it. It'd probably be Norman and Miller, if they were to do something like this again.
