  1. Carlina Daarios?

Game of Thrones, while fantasy fiction, probably mimics real life more than any reality show or any other series... Basiclally, people are assholes. They fight over their own greed, and look out for themselves and those they love. They plot and play games in order to further themselves. Some people aren't as bad, and are victims of said assholes, but ultimately life sucks and then you die. Not only do they fight each other, but Mother Nature is always lurking at the ready to throw them a curveball and wipe out as many of them as possible. So, if you like good stories about people living in these types of situations, and overcoming and redeeming themselves only to be killed off because, in the end, nothing really matters because people are insignificant specks in the universe, then you should really check out the books and the show.
  2. WTH's going on on Bald Head Island?

Oh, pardon me if I have little pity that their $1,000 a day vacation was interrupted because she was being irresponsible, hysterical, and drunk. "Dude... dude... dude... dude..." Were the cops likely too aggressive? Yes, because the sky is usually blue... but I am pretty sure neither side is being 100% truthful here...
  3. But but but this is fuggin' 'mericuh we are talking about here. Standards! As an aside, I absolutely love being able to use public transit for my commute. It keeps my road rage in check and saves me a poo ton of money. Plus I get to sit back in awe and let my nihilism and misanthropy grow as I, the casual observer, witnesses the devolution of human intelligence and decision making through their transparent car windows. Also, it is as if people don't realize they can be seen when in their vehicles. I didn't know it was physically possible to stick a finger so far up one's own nose as I have witnessed on numerous occasions. I mean, really people?

So you're saying Rothfuss = Martin? I will admit to Martin being my gateway drug to both Rothfuss and Lynch, but I think they all bring things to the table that I really enjoy.
  5. Anybody wanna see me irl?

The Jerky Boys have fallen so far...
  6. To be completely honest, people's fascination and total absorption with cell phones is pretty pathetic.
  7. -Game of Thrones-HBO-

but yeah, my recommendations above come with the warning that the series aren't finished yet... However, both of these are done in a way where you don't have too many unresolved questions at the end...
  8. I commute via bus for the majority of my daily commute, most days in the work week. Sitting above most vehicles, I have a pretty good view of what people are doing, and I take note if they are doing something other than actually driving. It is pretty appalling, the things I have seen people doing. I am surprised I haven't witnessed more accidents than I have. Phones are #1. PUT IT DOWN PEOPLE. I am guilty for doing this from time to time when stopped, but if you are moving, your eyes should be on the road. I see 75% of people doing this every day, and most days it is more. Most people are even using both hands. Driving with your knees while trying to double fist a biscuit down your gullet is just as bad. Reading the newspaper. No, don't do it. Reading a book, just as bad. If you're constantly messing with something in the seat or console beside you, just stop or get off the road to secure whatever it is that you keep messing with. If any of these people above cause an accident that injures someone, then they should be punished according to the damage done. I don't know how you prove most of these without their being more Big Brother things going on, but it is really disgusting how much I see and how often I see it. I had no idea it was this bad, and it is pretty terrifying tbqh.
