Bought the game on Friday and seriously considering returning it. I agree with the previous poster who said it feels like an arcade game now. The computer completes passes at an absurd rate while my guys drop passes left and right. Which, honestly seems realistic as all get out for the Panthers if I hadn't already revamped our WR corps (and traded 2016's 1st rounder for J.J. Watt who was listed on the trading block). Meanwhile, their RB seemingly breaks 3-4 tackles on every carry. I'll give it a little more time since I have 15 days to return it, but right now I'm not digging it at all. I've seen others complaining about the ease of throwing INTs but I'm not having an issue with that at all.
I don't know why everyone continue to count Brown as a deep threat. When have we ever seen it? Everyone talks about his speed, but on the field I've always seen a guy who is quicker than fast. IMO, he looks like a potential good fit as a slot guy, but a dedeep threat? Sorry, haven't seen it. I'd loving nothing more than him proving me wrong on that
Curious to see how it goes. Really hope to see some WRs step up and make some plays. Like has been said, we're not going to replace KB by having just one guy step up, the entire unit is going to have to step up collectively.
Unfortunately, I didn't look into either of the Oklahoma OTs. I just focused on the guys who were considered to be at the top of the class a few guys who were being talked about quite about on the Huddle at the time.
If they have any decent alternative candidate, I can't see AP winning it due to the whole PR thing around his child abuse case. The NFL really doesn't want to rehash that while they hand him a coveted award.
I hope you're right. Though, I will say that in '13, even though Smitty was no longer a legit #1 WR, he was still getting legit #1 WR attention from the defense and that's the main reason he didn't go for over 1000 yards. There's no WR on our roster that will get anywhere close to that type of attention.
I wouldn't cut Philly. I think he showed enough last year to make the roster and get another shot. Especially considering what we currently have at WR. It's not like we'd be cutting proven NFL performers to keep him. Right now, my WR squad would be: Funchess, Ginn, Cotchery, Philly, Boykin, and Bersin. If that lineup doesn't chill you to your very soul, I'm not certain what would. That's very nearly the WR corps equivalent of Bell/Chandler. Like I said, we need Funchess to be legit just to not go backwards from last year and last year's WR corps was hot trash outside of KB.
