  1. From a pure football standpoint, I thought Manziel had a chance to possibly make a splash in the NFL, but who knew he was this big of a train wreck off the field? Unbelievable that he still went in the 1st round with all of the background research most teams do on these guys.  LOL @ the Browns.
  2. It'll be yet another slap in the face of the whole "player safety" push if Talib isn't suspended for that bullshit facemask penalty that he admitted was intentional.
  3. The downfield catch that knocked him out was tremendous, but he did drop a crucial ball across the middle on 3rd down that would've given us a 1st down conversion and probably put us in scoring range if I remember correctly.
  4. NFL Rigged?

This is an embarrassing thread for this fanbase.  Yes, the refs were terrible.  But, the refs didn't fumble four times.  The refs didn't miss block after block.  The refs didn't drop pass after pass. The refs didn't force Shula to make zero adjustments on the game.  We didn't lose because of the refs, we lost because we played like dog poo.
  5. Blandino on the no catch call

I'd have more respect for the NFL if they'd man up to their mistakes more often.  Refs are human, they make mistakes.  They always have and they always will.  It's part of the game.  The NFL lacks credibility when they constantly deny, deny, deny blatantly poor calls.  Just call it what it is, a terrible fuging call that they got wrong.  Twice.
  6. NFL Rigged?

The refs were terrible, but we played like poo.  We didn't play well enough to win, period.  Way too sloppy on offense.
  7. Draft and free agency

Tell that to Ted Ginn and Mike Mitchell.  Both guys were bottom of the barrel free agents and them signed nice deals elsewhere after one good year in Carolina, nevermind a great year.  It's a "what have you done for me lately" league.  If you have a career year in a contract year, you're gonna aget paid.
  8. This Team Is Ahead of Schedule: Remember That

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but just to add a dose of reality, both of our Super Bowl appearances were completely shocking by preseason standards.  Neither team was considered a serious threat before the season started.  Both teams made the Super Bowl and came up short, but the future looked bright.  The '03 squad out together some more quality season but never got back to the big show.  It's really hard to get to the Super Bowl.  We've done it twice and came up short both times.  That fuging sucks.  I hope this core group of guys can get back again, but it's far from guaranteed.
  9. Draft and free agency

CB, OT, safety, DE, and WR could all use an upgrade. Hopefully Williams can be the answer at RT. Remmers did his best, but hell always be a liability.  I'd love to have him back, but only as a backup.  If we don't think Williams is the answer, find the answer.
  10. Shula had the #1 offense and still barely got a second glance for head coaching  opportunities.  The rest of the NFL knows the guy is a turd being floated by a very unique QB talent.
  11. Cam pouting at the podium

We've watched Cam his entire career.  Did you expect him to show up smiling and high giving people?  The guybtakes losing hard.  Fug, I'm glad he does.  I do too.  I'd get up there and tell everyone to go fug themselves and send them all fuging for cover after I kicked the podium over.  Yeah, call me a sore loser.  I don't give a fug.  Let everyone else get used to losing.  I'll let it keep eating me up so that I never get used to it. If you want an "aw shucks, we lost but that's alright" guy to root for, stop watching NFL football because those guys don't become starting NFL QBs.  They don't have the necessary drive.
  12. Mike Shula is in full control of the offense

I had always said we'd never win it all with Shula calling plays but I thought we could pull it off tonight.  Nope.
  13. Why would they rig it for Manning to go out a winner?  Manning is near the end of his career.  If they were going to rig it, they'd rig it for the young budding superstar they have in Cam, not the guy who will be doing little to nothing to boost future NFL ratings. In reality, the NFL is wildly successful no matter what and it'd be idiotic for them to rig a game.  Getting caught rigging a game would be devastating for the league.
