  1. Ronald Leary wants out of Dallas

Yea, don't need another guard. If they wanna trade Tyron Smith, I'm all ears.
  2. tarheelfan23's list of free agents we should bring in

Yea, it's called Vice Principals or something like that. I'm moderately interested. I really like Walton Goggins.
  3. Who Are Your Top 10 Panthers on the Roster?

Cam, Luke, TD, Short, Olsen, Kalil, Star, Stewart, KB, Turner
  4. Comfortable with running backs?

I'm more or less ok with our RBs if we keep Wegher active. Until I see otherwise, I'm convinced he's our 2nd best back and just needs the experience to become a legit starter quality RB.
  5. CPAT!!!!

Munnerlyn was VERY good for us when he played strictly in the slot. That's how he got his payday with Minnesota....
  6. CPAT!!!!

that was only when he was playing out wide. he was horrible at that. he was great in the slot though.
  7. CPAT!!!!

Captain Munnerlyn would be great for us in the slot, Cordarelle Patterson is complete garbage. No thanks.
  8. Proehl talks about Damiere Byrd

He hasn't shown to play at all. He could be Smitty tough for all we know. I'm just saying Byrd is more compact like Smitty, rather than just skinny like Brown.
  9. Proehl talks about Damiere Byrd

Yea, I dunno how tough Byrd is because we haven't seen. But his height/weight is very comparable to Smitty and Smitty was one of the toughest SOBs ever. 5'9 185 is a LOT different than 5'11 or 6' and 185. A lot tougher.
  10. Proehl talks about Damiere Byrd

Based on who we have right now the WRs I'd like to see on our 53 are KB, Funchess, Ginn, Garrett and either Byrd or Brown. I dunno enough yet about Byrd to go so far as to say he takes Brown's spot, but what I do know is that Brown is brittle, yet relatively productive for a WR4/5 when he is healthy. I'd LIKE to see Byrd take his spot because he's improved enough to do so because I don't think Brown will ever be tough enough to play a full 19 game season.
  11. Rookie Camp Recap: Ron's thoughts on DE's

Ron has "his guys", that much has been proven since his first year here. Some guys get free passes for life, some get into a "dog house" and have to claw their way out no matter how much better they are. It's Ron's greatest flaw as a coach and it annoys the poo out of me. Horton is the worst example of it, and Addison is a lesser one.
  12. 2016 Rookie Camp Day 1

heh, that's a lot of Carolinians in that list of invited tryout players.
  13. Panthers UDFA RB/FB Devon "Rockhead" Johnson

Yea, I'd be shocked if he made the 53 this year. I expect him to sit on the PS for a year or two and hopefully be ready to take over for Tolbert when the time comes.
  14. Panthers UDFA RB/FB Devon "Rockhead" Johnson

I think this guy is looked at as Tolbert's potential replacement, Wegher is Stewart's and CAP is Deangelo's. Those are the best comparisons. Wegher is a hard runner, but he's not huge and has moves and speed like Stewart. Devon looks like more of a straight line power guy that could learn to block because of his size. I don't see them as competing for the same spot.
  15. Should #89 be Replaced?

Smitty's off field contributions FAAAAR outweigh Gross's. At least, the stuff that's made public. Maybe Gross did a lot more for the community than I'm aware of, but Smitty's charitable contributions were unmatched by any Panther ever as far as I know, aside from maybe TD.
