Hey...here another one of those silly fugin facts people like to ignore http://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/defensive-hurries/2015/ Ealy is top 11(several players tied with 6 starting at #8) in the NFL in QB hurries...lets relpace him and the rest of the NFL's DEs...lol can't make this poo up.
If you were paying attention you'd know the answer to your first question...Ealy being drafted ahead of those players means nothing. You haven't compared playing times of Ealy to anyone...none of you have offered any facts or evidence...just opinions. I've listed references and links with statistics on the subject...but in predictable Huddle fashion those silly facts have been ignored. Who said you wanted Ealy? IDGAF who you wanted, nor is that the subject.
Yea Seattle is that game where a FG or Punt could get blocked and of course they can run back some punts since they always seem to have a good returner...and ya know they seem to actually practice STs....I'd feel better if the Panthers came out and said they don't bother practicing STs because at least then we could do something to actually improve....if this is what we get with practice then got damn they are seriously inept.
I'm not banking on anything just showing that he's in line with the rest of the DE's that were drafted with him and in most every draft. Me saying I think he could go for double digit sacks is mainly optimism...like those saying "I think Brown will be fine" when he had 100 drops(course he's not doing all that much either).
Apparently in the NFL you do...or did you not see the rest of the draft he was in? Which of those DEs taken with Ealy have had this magical impact this or last year? Here's a hint too...check out the 2013 draft for DE 1st/2nd round...apparently a lot of you are either super confused or just don't really pay much attention to the NFL. Lots of 10+ sack guys on that 2013 list right....yea no. http://thesteelersnat.com/2015-archives/the-pass-rusher-learning-curve.html (good read actually) http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/pat-kirwan/25060804/nfl-draft-dont-expect-immediate-results-from-pass-rushers http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/161218/history-shows-its-hard-to-find-impact-from-rookie-pass-rushers It's really not hard to find this info so I'd like to hear exactly who, or why these people think Ealy is behind or where are these magical dominant 1st-3rd year DEs.....not many seem to exist at all...yet we need to get rid of Ealy already...lol k.
Guys like Peppers, White, Smith, and Watt are rare and very hard to come by...so not sure where you guys are getting this idea from.
Holy fugin poo this guy is so smart. We should have drafted one of these guys they are killing it instead of Ealy.(4 DE that went BEFORE Ealy) http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/16734/jadeveon-clowney http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/16798/stephon-tuitt http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/16802/demarcus-lawrence http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/16707/dee-ford (converted to LB) And 4 DEs that went AFTER Ealy http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/16873/cassius-marsh http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/16758/will-clarke http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/16764/kareem-martin http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/16780/scott-crichton
Clearly all the 1st-4th DEs from Ealy's draft are killing it already with sacks right....fugin HERP gtfo
It's only a terrible comparison if you're an idiot. Hardy had a first round grade and only slid due to character concerns...that's pretty well documented he even talks about it himself. 3rd round is soooo fugin much different than a 2nd right..no. Also if you did this around the league for other teams DL you'd see much of the same...but keep on with that...you'll get far around here.
Player Rookie Year 2 Year 3 Year 4 CJ 0 6 4 11.5 Hardy 3 4 11 15 Ealy 4 0(X) ? ?
Yea they will draft the replacement for a guy who had more sacks than CJ or Hardy in their first season and CJ/Hardy didn't really come into their own until year 3/4. They may very well draft another DE in round 1 or 2 but it won't be to replace Ealy...especially not on early downs. And I'm not even the biggest Ealy fan but facts is facts.
Good presser and something I picked up on that I liked was Ron talking about the process of getting Delaire...that gives me a hell of a lot more confidence in the structure of our organization now...so much better than when Hurney was here...looks like we could expect more good pickups along the way as long as our GM/Front Office stays this sharp.
