Kony Ealy is the only starting caliber player on this list.

I was thinking the last time we witnessed an actual power running attack was the December MNF game in 2008 against Tampa Bay when the Panthers hung 299 rushing yards on a vaunted Monte Kiffin D. That loss propelled Tampa into a tailspin and ultimately cost Gruden and Kiffin their jobs.
Before that you'd have to go back to Stephen Davis....

Been like this for 20 years now. The prevalent attitude you describe is the reason so many fans from other teams fill the stadium, talk poo about the home team, ridicule the fans while freely admitting they live in a trailer park in Catawba County somewhere. Panther ownership and Panther fans allow other teams to walk into BOA and take over- they have no one to blame but themselves.

A lot of salient points in a lot of posts.
Also a lot of the expected "it's only as preseason game" excuses. How quickly those posters forgot the article Jeremy published just a few days ago:
    _________________________
"Last year around this time, the New England Patriots embarrassed the Carolina Panthers.
On August 22, 2014, the Patriots took Carolina behind the woodshed in the third preseason game of the preseason and administered a 30-7 beating. But it was really never that close. The Patriots held the Panthers scoreless for 58 minutes and sent the Panthers home with an injured Cam Newton.
This game ended up being an omen for the 2014 regular season. Many, myself included, brushed aside the 30-7 domination as preseason silliness. Turns out, Carolina was on the losing end of those types of blowouts early and often in the 2014 season. Meaningless? Not so much.
The Panthers do not want to be embarrassed again this week. This week, it is personal.
For the first two days of practice this week, scout teams have been used. Yes, they are game planning for Friday night. The Panthers are installing plays they feel will be successful against the Patriots. The players have spent time in the film room. Cam Newton and the starters will be playing into the third quarter. This is as close to the regular season it will ever get in August.
This week we have our first real look at the 2015 Carolina Panthers. Whether the performance is outstanding or dismal, it will be difficult to brush aside the results as "only preseason."

From my perspective in BOA last night, the defense may be able to keep some games close, but the offense I saw last night looks far too similar to what I've been watching for a few seasons now... and it's simply not that good. "Anemic" and "lifeless" might be appropriate.

I love Chicago. One of the best food cities I've ever been to; San Francisco being at the top of that list.
Oh, and the "Windy City" thing? Yeah, it's for real.

Both of these young people worked for my wife when they were younger. Their families are from the Martinsville area where my wife managed a country club for 13 years and both of the kids spent their summers working; her as a lifeguard and he in the pool grill/snack bar.
My wife called me at work this morning, which she never does, and as soon as I heard her voicemail about needing to talk, I knew something was wrong. Both of the families are members of the country club and my wife knows them very well. My wife is terribly upset and I told her this morning I am okay with not having kids. This is not the phone call any parent wants or deserves.

First of all, the idiom is toe the line, not tow the line. The phrase derives from track-and-field events in which athletes are required to place a foot on a starting line and wait for the signal to go. Race officials used to shout “Toe the line!” where now they shout “On your marks!” Since entering the language, the idiom has developed to mean do what is expected or act according to someone else’s rules or expectations.
Second, this is keeping in line with every other feeble attempt the Republicans have made over the past 8 years to get things back on their side. "Just say, 'No' to everything Obama tries to do." Voter ID laws, Benghazi, the list goes on and on over the past 8 years which clearly define the Pubs as a party of scared shitless, conservative, rich white guys.

Right when I was getting ready to blame Carly Fiorina.

    Okay.

The only evidence of a running game I've seen so far has been in the 3rd and 4th quarters of these pre-season games. And we all know the Carolina Panthers 3rd string offense is the best offense we've seen so far.

  15. Anybodyhome added a post in a topic Not-So-Recent Trump Bankruptcy Development

Recently spent a few days in Las Vegas, where his hotel is one of the most expensive and high-class places on the strip. But the state of Nevada won't give him a gaming license and his hotel is casino-less because of those bankruptcies.
But he can run for President. Sure, makes perfect sense to me.
