  1. Carolina Panthers select DT Vernon Butler

You guys that are saying this means ANYTHING for Star or Short are being stupid. If Butler is another stud, we don't have to worry about paying him until 2021. We'll probably bounce Star out before the start of the 2021 season, but who gives a poo about the year 2021? Think of how old you'll be in March 2021 and you'll realize this is a non-issue. President Hillary Clinton will have just won re-election, Avatar 4 will still be in theaters, and you'll be 5 years older than you are right now.
  2. Let's not go overboard here. He was lucky enough to have Butler fall to him and he went BPA as he always does. Not hard.
  3. That was a Seattle fan talking point last year. Glad we're adopting those now.
  4. To those that said Norman just made this up, Voth confirmed that this indeed happen:http://blackandbluereview.com/source-josh-norman-offered-sign-franchise-tender-late/

  6. Cameron Artis-Payne Arrested for Speeding

No drugs or alcohol involved, hopefully the embarrassment will be enough to get him to slow down. Certainly not something worth cutting a player over though.
  7. Gettlemen offered Norman just above 10 mill per season

The people going on about how Josh is supposedly old at 28...you all realize Charles Tillman is 35 and played great for us last season right?
  8. That would have been quite a gambit on Dave's part since Josh could have signed the tag a week ago and Norman would have been paidthe $14 million no matter what Dave wanted.
  9. Gettlemen offered Norman just above 10 mill per season

Why is it that Google isn't finding a single result of anyone mentioning that ever except for this very site this very week after this all went down then? Star was a B to B+ level player last year, Josh was an A+ that singlehandedly won us at least 2 games. If you want to argue Star is more important long-term, fine, but that wasn't what I was responding to. The assertion that Star was more important than Josh to our success in 2015 is objectively false.
  10. Gettlemen offered Norman just above 10 mill per season

You missed the point. I was all in favor of letting Williams and Smith go! My only point is that we shouldn't act like great Panthers can only play well here. Some go on to have success elsewhere and some don't. It has NOTHING to do with our "system". Geez.
  11. They could have kept silent then. Nope, they're bending over backwards to congratulate him. Once again, this proves that Josh was not being "greedy" or "betraying" anyone. That's only something stupid fans believe. Actual players with skin in the game don't think that at all.
  12. Gettlemen offered Norman just above 10 mill per season

DeAngelo played at an All-Pro level last year and Smith was an MVP candidate through much of 2014. Point is that Panthers players can and have left us and succeeded elsewhere, it's not just the magical "system".
  13. Gettlemen offered Norman just above 10 mill per season

Yeah, because you chatted with Gettleman for 5 minutes, I'm sure you know him way better than Josh Norman does.
  14. Gettlemen offered Norman just above 10 mill per season

Why do people keep making the Redskins out to be the Browns? They went 9-7 last year and won their division, better than we were in 2014 before we went 17-2. And Jordan was maxing out at $33 million per season back in the mid '90s, which I believe is STILL the most money in NBA history and was the biggest in pro sports history at the time.
  15. Gettlemen offered Norman just above 10 mill per season

That's one example. Tell me, how did DeAngelo Williams and Steve Smith do after leaving?
