The Panthers are without a doubt the best team in the NFC South and they'll prove it late in the season when they sweep the Falcons. But the only way to be the best team in the NFL is to lift that Lombardi trophy. Take it from the Patriots, make them watch you lifting it from across the sideline, or on their TV sets depending on whether they survive the AFC title game or not. But right now, end of week 2, the Patriots are 2-0 and likely favored in just about every game on their schedule all year long. Until you take it from them, the Belicheats are the best team in the NFL.
You have the better team and you're at home. The Texans should be a road bump on your quest for home field advantage. It's nice to see some fire though, the fires are so low in the fanbases of New Orleans and Tampa Bay you'd think this next game has had its rules altered to flag football where the players sport pom poms instead of shoulderpads. That said, I do hope the Texans pull this one out, you're a division rival, but I don't think that's going to happen, you've got the better team. (shrug)
