didn't he announce he was going to retire recently?
I'll be one of the last people to rag on steve smith though. IDGAF, he's still my favorite panther of all time. I don't think I've ever seen a player play with the same amount of passion and energy he displayed. To be honest, I didn't really become a panther fan until the beginning of our horrible season with Jimmy Clausen that led to getting cam (Fall 2010 - Feb 2011) , I watched every single game that season and have been watching the games since. I watched a number of panther games before that though and was somewhat of a casual fan , b/c my dad watched a lot of panther games, including that superbowl, I was in 7th grade during that time. Well point being I saw a lot of games where Steve Smith was very fun to watch..
I find it strange that we almost never do toss plays , if its not the occasional read option ish thing, then its a very straitforward run up the gut with stewart. Sometimes RBs can break big runs when they have more space to maneuver in the toss plays. I don't think Stewart is running particularly badly, I think he has A) Really shitty blocking, always see him having to fight through multiple defenders B) repetitive and predictable run play calls.
I think it's great we won 4 games we should have won.. I don't think anyone should be discrediting the effort the panther players put in to accomplish that. But that being said, I think its also a valid point, that the teams we beat weren't the best of the best, and we do have our flaws. The Seattle game is going to be extremely meaningful for a lot of different reasons.
