Not a good year for FA 4-3 DE's, really. Jason Pierre-Paul (who effective will he be after blowing off his fingers?) Greg Hardy (no, he's not coming back) Aldon Smith (don't think so) Justin Tuck (older than CJ) William Hayes (possibility... he's a NC boy, born and raised and college too, but he's not what you'd call an "impact" FA) Jason Jones (meh) Adrian Clayborn (meh) Derrick Shelby (meh meh) Wallace Gilberry (older than CJ) http://overthecap.com/free-agency/ When the highlight of your choices is William Hayes, it ain't good.
Its either that or the OP has such tender feelings, he can't handle the consequences of getting his hopes up and then seeing them not fulfilled. The guy at the bar with his head down and tears dropping into his PBR? Yeah, that's OP after getting his hopes about a GAME crushed. Ergo, he'll wait until things are "legit". OP is Brandos.
He's more of a threat "on the field" than Hakeem Nicks. Or Denarius Moore. Or Duron Carter. Who, 4 weeks into the season, aren't on the field for ANYBODY. The NY Giants, who know Hakeem Nicks better than anyone in the NFL, tried out receivers this week. One of those receivers that was trying out was Hakeem Nicks. The NYG ended up signing Taverres King and not Nicks. So of all these highly-sought after "veteran" WRs that you think were available, which would you have signed? And if they're so great, why hasn't anyone else signed them?
If someone is not impressed with a 4-0 start, they're just being silly. You can only play the opponent thats in front of you and 4-0 is 4-0. (Oh, by the way, the Panthers opponents are 3-12 as of right now. Atlanta's opponents who are being bragged about like they are the best thing since sliced bread? 6-9. For some reason 3-12 is "bad" (it is), but 6-9 is redefined to be "strong".)
