haha no worries, I didn't take it personally. more just making the point that no matter your perspective, it's perfectly acceptable to delight in a rival's demise.

Saints, 2013 at home. Tickets on the cheap, rain soaked which just added to the atmosphere, drunk, 75 degrees in December. There are a lot of comparable moments excitement wise, but overall sheer happiness, nothing else even holds a candle for me.

No, pretty sure I won't. In fact, never have. But even considering myself to be a fairly objective fan of the team and observer of the division, doesn't mean I won't enjoy the Saints' decline.

Good read on the Saints' recent rash of questionable, curious, and/or desperate moves. Reminds me an awful lot of the 2003-2009 Panthers' window closing. Guiltless schadenfreude to the MAX.

  6. bdwork added a post in a topic what's the maddest you've ever been as a panthers fan?

08 Cardinals loss. Spent a ton of time looking for tickets so a group could go. Made the trip from out of town. Assumed we had it in the bag after our first quick score only to witness the greatest turd ever laid at BOA. Anger paled in comparison, though, to my buddy who took off his brand new authentic Delhomme jersey he'd just gotten for Christmas, wadded it up and left it under his seat. Left the stadium in utter disgust.

    Some good ones submitted here.
    TD/Luke
    Salt and Pepper
Jake/Smitty (Bojangles commercial, Smitty's pep talk to Jake on sidelines after 2009 meltdown being first things on my mind)
and to a lesser extent Jake/Moose (2004 campaign still incredible to me)
Those came to my mind first. Surprised myself by not thinking of Double Trouble sooner, given that I was such a fan. Here's hoping for KB and Funchess to enter the conversation.

    All-time Panthers duos
Thinking about how proud I am to have Luke and TD as Panthers got me to wondering how much the duo factor plays into it. Would I like them as much individually if the other wasn't there, whole greater than sum of the parts type thing?
Anyway, what are some of the top Panther duos of all time? Both on the basis of what they brought/bring to the team on the field and also general likeability pre/post-game and off field?
To me, a duo has a mutually beneficial relationship QB-WR, LB tandem, secondary teammates and so forth but doesn't necessarily have to be the case.

While the Red Cross certainly isn't without its share of issues, I don't think you can say everything they do is a publicity stunt just because it takes place in the public eye. Same with wounded soldier initiatives, etc. Now maybe the intent is more pure if he'd done it privately, but still barely diminishes the act, at least in my mind.

LeBatard comes across as a buffoon on tv but you're right, his radio show is solid.

Cowherd is easily the best mind on the mainstream airwaves.
