  1. Carolina Panthers Top 3 Offseason Priorities

OT, DE, and 2nd CB.  Those should be your first picks.
  2. Replay assistant for SB50, was a Broncos fan

what really sucks is that as bad as Carolina played, they likely still win if all the 50-50 calls that went Denver's way had just been down the middle.  Cotch catch likely negates 7 points for Denver, Talib offsides likely means 3 or 7 in the favor of Carolina, and the blown PI in the red zone leads to 3 or 7.    But Carolina would have played like the shittiest game ever and had been super bowl winners.  Nobody would have deserved to win.
  3. Bad calls early in a game have a major impact... impacts morale, effort, and psyche going forward beyond just the call on the field.  No doubt that the Cotchery call was a game changer.  Even with that, it is our fault for not finding a way to stop Von Miller.  He was a one man wrecking crew and if he was contained, Carolina would have won the game.    I don't think it is a stretch to say that "even" officiating would have resulted in a Carolina win.  But it's also not a stretch to say that the real issue is that Denver dominated us from the edges.  I don't think this was some big conspiracy to get Peyton a ring.  Refs reward 1) home teams that have louder fans, and 2) teams that play harder.  That was basically a road game and there is no doubt that Denver came to play harder than did Carolina.
  4. So where does Carolina finish next year?

Time to let some of the younger guys play and continue to improve the team.   Ealy Darryl Williams Tre Boston (who was pretty much trash last night)   Also, can we please, please upgrade Teddy Williams?  He didn't tackle on the one long punt return and he also got another flag on him.
  5. Losers

Inexcusable to not go after that ball.    I think that Cam thought the play was going to be ruled incomplete. He also threw the ball out of bounds earlier in the game when he saw a flag for DPI that was picked up. Play to the whistle
  6. Official Panthers - Broncos Superbowl Gameday Thread

We've been hyped up in exactly one other game this year.... against Atlanta.
  7. Viewing The Game If Power Goes Out

We've had constant sleet the past hour and a half or so.  Maybe longer.  I don't expect it to cause us problems but you never know.
  8. Viewing The Game If Power Goes Out

Thanks a lot for bringing up the possibility.  I've now got my generator on standby in Raleigh where it has been sleeting for at least an hour.
  9. How about PJ

PJ's issues are PJ's and PJ's only.  He's started much of the year, so it isn't like he hasn't been given the opportunities.
  10. Vindication for Kony Ealy

His benching was kindof a real head scratcher.  I suspect that Ron thought the vets would play better than they have.
  11. I Miss Shaq Thompson

Dragging up an older one, but I suspect many on here don't remember how long it took for TD to come into his own.  That position just takes a while for the player to grow into it.
  12. 2015 Philly Brown is our 2012 Doug Balwdin

He might be Balwdin.   Philly will be on the bubble to make the team next year.   KB Funchess Ginn Jericho   That 5th WR needs to play STs.
  13. Ballgame. The Final Dab of the Regular Season

Get Goldie Lochs out of there.
  14. Ricky Proehl

You were left with a punt returner labeled as a bust, an UDFA punt returner from Ohio State, a raw rookie, and a cagy vet best served as a third WR to work with.  We’ve played a quarterback as a receiver at times this year.  The team spent 8.5 million total for 2015 for the WR group for you to work with.  People proclaimed that Cam would have a terrible year, that the offense would be stagnant, and the season was lost when KB went down in preseason.  And we saw this playing out in preseason with one Corey Brown drop after another.  The fears were rampant and fans clamored for the Panthers to go out and get such castoffs as Nicks, Welker, Wayne, Moss, and Lloyd.  But people underestimated you and this group of receivers.  A Demon Deacon, you are the perfect receivers coach after spending more than a decade in the NFL getting by on a savvy ability to get open and make the critical catch.  Perhaps there was no other position coach that meant as much to this 15-1 season as Ricky Proehl. Kudos to Mr. Proehl for a job well-done.
  15. Official Bucs at Panthers Gameday Thread

Goldie Lochs just doesn't have NFL talent.
