Plenty of change and plenty of messages sent, but still maintaining the feel of a "football program" if that makes sense...not a lot of wholesale change. I believe that's the best way to handle this tumultuous time for the franchise
  2. Lesser known deep threat

I'm assuming he means "big payday" by Jaron Brown standards?
  3. I really think people are overreacting to this sentiment that Norv Turner runs some ultra conservative offense like Jeff Davidson. If Ron hires him, he's going to run a far more controlled version of what Chud ran. More emphasis on the running game. Turner's offense puts a major emphasis on scat backs and tight ends, and is super QB friendly. Most recently, his schemes with a young and inexperienced Bridgewater in Minny were solid and successful, and honestly that's all we really need given the strength of the defense... Sorry we're not going to run a Chip Kelly offense. On top of the fact that it just isn't who RR is, those schemes just simply aren't innovative for long...NFL teams catch up to them on film over time.
  4. LOL wow. The details of this story are DEFINITELY gonna be juicy once they come out. Someone better write a damn tell-all book
  5. So if the Panthers move, you will no longer be a fan

Between it being nearly fact that JR will only sell the team with a no-move clause, and Charlotte's value as a market in any capacity when compared to other markets without NFL teams (TV, real estate, sports, economic value, etc.), WHY are we worried about this team moving?? Not to mention how valuable the stadium deal is. Charlotte is not St. Louis, and LA doesn't need any more teams. If London were to happen, it'll be Shad Khan doing that.
  6. The NASCAR Coalition: NFL Owner Team Mock

I get your point, I'm not going to try to argue that he deserves to get some heat for talking a big game, but I do believe he does good work. We'll see if he follows through. His head is in the right place and I agree with what he ultimately wants done down there. You have to have a lot of buy in from a lot of sides for projects like these, otherwise you end up developing something bland and lame like the Metropolitan. Imagine that going in First Ward. That's why he's being careful IMO.
  7. The NASCAR Coalition: NFL Owner Team Mock

I've never heard anything bad about Marcus. Don't know anything about the other brother. I think by and large Marcus has been pretty good about trying to get NASCAR up to speed in the 21st century.
  8. The NASCAR Coalition: NFL Owner Team Mock

If you're talking about First Ward, dude that is really important land. You can't screw that development up, you have to be careful about what you put there and when you put it there because it is some of the last undeveloped real estate in Center City. I don't blame him for not jumping at the first chance to put ugly South End apartments and a damn brewery down there. When that gets done, it needs to be a part of what transforms Charlotte's center city to the next level. He's not a "terrible" developer...what is with you guys calling everyone "terrible" this "terrible" that? lol Levine would be an excellent part of the ownership team -- he loves Charlotte. He doesn't have the cash to buy a team outright.
  9. The NASCAR Coalition: NFL Owner Team Mock

Ok this one I gotta hear more about. Do tell.
  10. The NASCAR Coalition: NFL Owner Team Mock

Your reason for not wanting someone rooted in the community (as in, he just gave $7 million of his own money to Novant to build 2 clinics in low income areas, has saved CMS sports in the middle of the recession, etc.) to buy this team is because the basketball team he owns is a 5-game win streak away from being in the playoff hunt for the 2nd time in 3 years -- all the while their coach is sidelined with medical issues? I think it's safe to say you don't know enough about what you're trying to use as evidence, to actually use it as evidence. Moving on...
  11. The NASCAR Coalition: NFL Owner Team Mock

I wouldn't say by any means that Jordan has been a "terrible" owner of the Hornets. He bought the Bobcats for pennies and has turned it into a legitimate attraction for the city. The on-court product isn't even bad enough right now to merit you saying that.
  12. What Packers Fans Are Saying

Absolutely incorrect and you know you are, you're just trying to speak in coach talk. You aren't a coach. You win this game, you make a statement to the entire league that this team isn't just for real, but is terrifying as an 8-0 team that just beat the Packers and now have a 2 game lead in the NFC. Also, this game has significant #1 playoff seed implications.
  13. What Packers Fans Are Saying

I would say this is the most important "out of division" game that the Panthers have had since San Fran 2013.
  14. Official Panthers - Bucs Gameday Thread

Cam Newton has become one hell of a passer. Hats off to the man, shutting the doubters up one game at a time
  15. Damiere Byrd WR, South Carolina to Panthers

Answer me this Cock fans: How is he out of the backfield? I can see from his stats Spurrier handed the ball off to him 22 times...is he an NFL option as a scatback?
