Yeah I take back anything I said earlier that made it seem like I had any shred of sympathy for this scumbag.

It sounds totally premeditated and absolutely like murder in the first.

Minnesota man convicted of premeditated murder

LITTLE FALLS, Minn. (AP) — A Minnesota homeowner who shot and killed two teenagers during a break-in was convicted Tuesday of premeditated murder.

Byron Smith had claimed he was simply defending himself during the break-in at his home in the small city of Little Falls on Thanksgiving Day 2012. Smith's attorney said the 65-year-old was fearful after previous burglaries.

But prosecutors argued that Smith waited in his basement and intended to kill the teens. A total of nine shots were fired at 17-year-old Nick Brady and 18-year-old Haile Kifer.

Jurors began deliberating Tuesday morning and within three hours had a verdict: Guilty on two counts each of first-degree and second-degree murder. Mothers of the teens cried as the verdicts were read, while Smith showed no emotion. Defense attorney Steve Meshbesher said he would appeal.

It only took three hours for a jury to find that piece of poo guilty of premeditated murder.

So much for that manslaughter drivel some here were pushing.

yeah i would listen to his testimony stating that he gave an incapacitated teenage girl a "good clean killshot" from close range and that would pretty much be that

agreed. it is one thing to protect yourself but putting her out of her misery was not his decision to make.

That's before I saw what nanuq posted.

Also why don't you man up and quote people instead of your constant posting callouts that lack any real substance in any topic ever?

Hug it out, you guys.....

And if you want something to seriously ponder, how about this hypothetical:

Smith wounds and almost completely incapacitates both people, tells them he is going to finish them both off and gets ready to put yet another bullet in each of their heads. Suddenly, one of the two intruders pulls out a weapon and shoots Smith- all of this recorded just as the actual event- and then claims self-defense...
