Signing Al was a very short term move with a low ceiling, pretty much a 1 & done 7th/8th seed with Jefferson and Kemba here. Team will also pretty much have to be rebuilt in two seasons.

I'm buying every part of the post except this one.

I think it is premised on Big Al dropping off because of his age. But he isn't athletic at all and will be pretty much playing the same style of ball in 3-4 years that he is now.

The hornets ceiling is somewhere around the 4th seed. That's conditioned on either upgrading the point (management isn't going to do that) or finding a second scoring option, which seems feasible.

With plenty of cap space and a young core, the hornets are going to go as far as their PG play will allow.

 Player    2013     PER      2014 PER % Improvement
   Kemba Walker 18.8             16.8              - 10.6%
That's terrible.

It will never happen, but I wish Kevin Love would consider Charlotte. Legit 1st or 2nd scoring option, could be deadly on the pick and roll/pop with Kemba, adds post depth and adds the 3 point shooting to keep spacing for Big Al to operate down low.

I would love Love. Nice fit in CHA minus the lack of post defense from him and Al.
