As long as they don't land in the Top 8 of the lottery, it's ours.

Personally, I'd rather them keep the pick, suck next year, and us walk away with a Top 5 pick potentially.

As for Afflalo, would be a nice get for the Hornets.

That was my preference as well, it just all depends on what we do in free agency.

Does it mean that we're going after a SF, SG, and PG? or that Afflalo could be the SF we're going after?

Nelson would be a great backup for Kemba.

I'm just not sure if I would package Portland pick for Afflalo. That pick could still land us a very good player.

The Portland pick COULD get you a very good player; Afflalo already is a very good player.

LA is ahead of Detroit. One of Cleveland, New Orleans, Denver, New York, Minnesota, or Phoenix needs to jump into the top three while Detroit stays put.

90% chance Detroit doesn't jump into top 3.
19.5% chance someone behind them does.
17.55% chance both happens and we get the pick.

Cleveland always seems to have lottery luck.

I don't see a team of Josh Smith or Brandon Jennings winning anything (just my opinion).

They built that team on volume shooters and it's costing them.

If Detroit figures out that Josh Smith cant play the 3 and trades one of Smith/Monroe/Drummond, then Detroit might be decent.

Otherwise they will be terrible again

I love Afflalo but hes a very good player attached to a lot of money too.

We could get a Cleanthony Early with that late pick.

NO NO NO. If we give up our only pick for one of these players we haven't learned anything.

Just get Ridnour the fug out of Charlotte. That trade helped us a bit with Neal's shooting but losing Sessions was bigger than I thought it would be.

I... completely agree. I wouldn't hate having Afflalo (I really like his game), but I don't think we should give up a first rounder and something else for him.

I would want to keep Gary Neal, if possible.
