I see this is a rebuilding year

Best Answer BigCat, 20 May 2014 - 03:51 PM

Yes this is a rebuilding year. However, it's different than let's say the Jaguars rebuilding. The team is actually doing a changing of the guard if you will. They are going from Steve as the center piece to Cam ( like most teams, QB is the face). Whether people believe it or not the Gettydog is building a team not just a group of talented individual who happened to wear the same uniform. I like the direction, we are do use to Ole Hurney we can't see progress right before our eyes. Go to the full post

Might not be a 12-4 season, but it will be a winning season. This D is too good for us to suck.

So you are saying releasing Smitty and Ginn improved our team?

Rebuilding? Lol. At what positions are we exactly rebuilding?

The only key positions we are not set at is LT and CB.

We have a QB, Front 7 with great depth, a top C.

Not seeing the rebuilt at all.

Every year is a building year for Gettleman. We are never one player away. We never sell out for the now. Last year we melted down about corner back. It worked out because we had a enough good players in other positions.

Our D will put our ceiling at 9-7, our offense however will set our floor in the 5-11 range, in other words. 7-9 at best although 5-11 possible with that hellish schedule

Dear heavenly lord......I don't even...

Now that's a glass-half-full guy.  Love the optimism.

So you are saying releasing Smitty and Ginn improved our team?

Yes.    They were part of a unit that was one of the worst in the NFL last season.

We've a fresh start at the WR position..      To try and get things right.   Since we've obviously screwed  it so bad in the past.

would it be more "win now" had we done this in the draft?

1st - Marqise Lee/Jordan Matthews/Cody Latimer/Davante Adams/Cyrus Kouandjio/Joel Bitonio

2nd - Allen Robinson/Jarvis Landry/Donte Moncrief/Morgan Moses/Billy Turner

3rd - WR Bruce Ellington/WR Martavius Bryant

4th - OT Cameron Fleming

5th - WR Jared Abbrederis/WR Robert Herron

6th - OT Seantrel Henderson/OT Charles Leno

7th - OT James Hurst/OT Tiny Richardson

Last year people melted down on boards about the offensive line. It cost us the 49er's game.

i won't go as far as rebuilding, but i will say he's putting a lot of focus on the future instead of this year.........

we have no choice but to wait and see doesn't look good IMO.
