Manziel mania: Why the phenomenon?

163 posts in this topic

Great college QB, questions on whether or not his game will translate to the NFL. He's a polarizing figure due to his personality and ESPN eats that crap up.

I personally don't expect much from him in the NFL, specifically because he doesn't seem to make quick decisions on his reads while in the pocket and his first instinct is to run when pressured.

Also, he just seems kind of like a douche to me. Just my opinion though; I've been wrong before.

In a couple of years Manziel will be traded and Connor shaw will be the starter.

I hope Manziel is great in the pros. It's not often you get to see a small white guy juke world class athletes out of their shoes.

I see multiple turnover games and an eventual collarbone injury, sorry, I am just a pessimist when I watch his backyard, playground style.  DC's, in my opinion, are not in the least afraid of him.

Good lord that would be amazing.

Same thing happened with RG3 and Luck and Cam. Johnny Football just gets bonus points for his NCAA money controversy. Cam had one of those too.

Cam has faded to the background in part because the most controversial thing he's done since coming here is put a towel on his head. Not a lot to drive ratings.

He reminds me of Favre without all the size, talent and skill.

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.  His best hope will be from the pocket.  If he takes off, he better learn how to slide, otherwise he's gonna get smashed like Bob 3.
