In a couple of years Manziel will be traded and Connor shaw will be the starter.

Good lord that would be amazing.

Same thing happened with RG3 and Luck and Cam. Johnny Football just gets bonus points for his NCAA money controversy. Cam had one of those too.

Cam has faded to the background in part because the most controversial thing he's done since coming here is put a towel on his head. Not a lot to drive ratings.

I see multiple turnover games and an eventual collarbone injury, sorry, I am just a pessimist when I watch his backyard, playground style. DC's, in my opinion, are not in the least afraid of him.

He reminds me of Favre without all the size, talent and skill.

I hope Manziel is great in the pros. It's not often you get to see a small white guy juke world class athletes out of their shoes.

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.  His best hope will be from the pocket.  If he takes off, he better learn how to slide, otherwise he's gonna get smashed like Bob 3.

Enough of the analysts I like are predicting him to be great. I have no idea but will be watching to see if that potential is there. If he excels people will love it and if he fails other people will love it

Manziel is the new "Golden Calf"

I like the kid personally but the media hype is out of control.

He is an average talent hyped way beyond his threshold

Because he is exciting to watch, won the Heisman as a Freshman, and gets in to some trouble and isn't a choir boy. Why is that a mystery?

Don't know why this is hard to admit. Similar to why Lin was popular. The best thing that happened to Lin was getting outta NY. Now he's building a nice niche for himself as a respected basketball player in Houston. Not some one hit wonder hype.

That's completely untrue. There was no phenomenon with Cam. Cam never sold the combine number of jerseys of Tibow, RG3, and Luck combined. The only attention Cam got was that of a potential #1 overall pick, same as anyone else in history. People who don't even follow football or follow other teams buy Manziel's Jersey.

I think a catchy nickname goes a long way in popularity too.

I'm tired of seeing the same highlight reel.  He's scrambles around before tossing an egg in the sky.  Mike Evans then jumps up and grabs it.  It worked for Delhomme though.

This guy's downfall will be his ego.  Cleveland will crush him.

However, I do love the highlights vs Missouri where Ealy keeps putting him on his ass.
