Brock McGinn And The Memorial Cup

Talented Hurricanes prospect Brock McGinn is currently playing with the Guelph Storm in the Memorial Cup (a round-robin tournament that combines the three CHL league winners and one host team into one).

McGinn and the Storm won their first game of the round-robin tourney against the Edmonton Oil Kings. McGinn tallied one goal and +1 rating in the game.

Brock has some of the most outrageous stats I've seen at any level of hockey. McGinn currently has 50 goals, 48 assists, 98 points, 66PIM's, and +55 rating in 71 games. Brock is definitely a candidate to make the jump to the NHL next year.

And yes, Brock is the brother of NHL'ers Ty and Jamie McGinn.

Guelph's next game is at 7:00 P.M. on Monday against the Val-D'Or Foreurs. Also for those wondering, the games are being broadcast on sportsnet. I know for a fact that Dish get's that channel, I'll have to wait and see about TWC and I'm not sure if DirectTV gets it.

@MSmithCanes: Guelph topped Val-d'Or 6-3 last night to clinch Memorial Cup final berth. #Canes prospect Brock McGinn tallied 2 assists and was a +2.

That's 100 points on the season for McGinn.
