Glad to see you missed literally the entire point of that post. Well done.

What did I miss? You bragged that you sold more tickets than NYC (we couldn't sell more, you have more seats), Chicago (they couldn't sell more, you have more seats), and a mythical Guiness ICC game in Boston (looks like Liverpool and AS played a friendly though). If you want to brag how amazing BOA was at least brag like Arsen did.

I'm sure players couldn't wait to leave New York just as well as Queen City.  You'd be fooling yourself otherwise.  Besides, New York has Giants stadium that fit way more people (82k)... Why choosing smaller Yankee stadium to host games?  That's a lot of lost revenue...

Denver - Attendance 54k Capacity 76k

Washington, DC - Attendance 61k Capacity 79k

Texas - Attendance 57k Capacity 92k

Pittsburgh - Attendance 34k Capacity 66k

Chicago - Attendance 36k Capacity 64k

Minneapolis - Attendance 34k Capacity 50k

Big cities failed to sold out soccer games.  The average attendance is around 50k.  Charlotte... The Queen City... managed to get 70k attendance.

You might be prideful of New York and its good for you, not everyone enjoys New York city life with insane traffic jams and millions of tourists just come and go.  Charlotte showed again and again that people here love sports and many people across United States love coming here to watch games.  Charlotte is very clean, nice town with great southern hospitality and amazing weather.  Suck on it, Yankee.

So now it's 70k? At least you bragged properly, lol. I'm not sure why they had it in Yankee Stadium and not the Meadowlands. Easier to get to I'd guess. And please, players cherish coming here (some for the first time). I bet they didn't even know where Charlotte was. What'd they do? Hang out in Uptown? Go to Buffalo Wild Wings? SCORE.

I lived in Charlotte for 18 years. I know how clean it is. I hated the weather. And it's very, very plain.

I'm guessing you took the word Yankee as an insult then...

Oh and Liverpool played in Boston against AS Roma. http://www.bostonmag...ch-fenway-park/

No, it just amazes me that you guys call people up here Yankees. It's not an insult. REDNECK is an insult. WHITE TRASH is too but we both have that. I guess you could throw out Guido? And yes, Boston did have a friendly, but not in the tournament this thread is about. Charlotte had one years back as well. Iceland versus Mexico I think.

The one thing that upset me was the distance that they kept the players from the fans. We sold more tickets than Boston, Chicago, and NYC, yet they couldn't come out and sign autographs for the fans. I couldn't care less if I got an autograph but at the practice on friday night there were a ton of kids there with LFC merchandise that waited after the practice but noone came out. It was very disappointing to see that. I will always be a red but I will definitely be voicing my opinion to the team about this.

Do I seriously need to fuging explain the point of this post to you? Don't be dense.

Yea, its 70k.  I rounded it.  You wanna know why they had it in Yankee stadium?  Because look at the data I posted.  Most major cities failed to sold out their games. You do realize that these players spend about 2-3 days in each city on this tournament.  Most of their time spent on practicing and interviews, signing poo for fans... They don't have a time to properly visit anything.  The only places they visit are restaurants and maybe bars... Charlotte downtown has plenty of both.  If anything, most players hate NYC because of all media attention.  Arsenal manager called US visit a very bad distraction.

I'm sure there is a reason why BOA said no to autographs and other places said yes.

Let's not argue about the quality of restaurants/hotels/skyline you'll lose. But hey, we're both better than Michigan Stadium in one way. I think the Man U coach said the field was horrible. They put in a grasslike turf over the regular Wolverines turf. He said it was terribly slow.

And pretty sure they picked Yankee Stadium due to the novelty ... even though it's nothing like the original. It was sold out.

Enjoy having to work like a mad man just to keep pace in NYC with the cost of living and taxes.

I'll take sweet tea and southern ladies and the Carolina coasts any day of the week.

Keep telling everybody up there it's really bad and backwards down here. Makes driving to the coast that much easier.
