Your 5 Boldest Predictions for the 2014 Season

90 posts in this topic

1. We finish last in the division, take a step back

2. Offense really stalls the first half of the season and hardly produces. They show flashes in the second half with a few big meaningless games to finish around 6-10 or 7-9. We still finish 20th or worse total offense

3. Defense plays well all season with a stinker or two but still known as a respectable defense that is overworked and on the field too long

4. Cam Newton is not extended one year from right now

5. Kelvin Benjamin catches less than four touchdown passes in 2014.

You must be an absolute joy to hang around with at parties....oh wait, you never get invited to parties.

Carry on

  1. The division shakes with the saints winning it with us and the Bucs tied for 2nd with 10-6 or 9-7 records. Falcons are last at 6-10 or 7-9, Mike Smith fired
  2. KB isn't the messiah (yet) that everyone on here thinks he is already. Respectable rookie campaign. 600-700 yards, 5 or 6 TDs.
  3. Jericho Cotchery has 900 receiving yards
  4. Tyler Gaffney steps up to be our #1 RB after Stewart, Williams, and Barner go down with injuries at one point or another.
  5. The walking dead weekly viewership declines each week due to a poor story arc and lack of action.

1.) Charles Johnson leads our team in sacks

2.) Thomas Davis finally makes a Pro Bowl

3.) D-Will finishes the season with over 1000 yards total (800 yds rushing, 200 yds receiving)

4.) Tiquan Underwood finishes the season with at least 5 40+ yard touchdowns

5.) Our secondary continues to be a major weakness...surprisngly moreso at corner than safety

1. Kelvin Benjamin has over 1000 yards receiving.

2 Our defense rivals, if not breaks, the 2000 Raven's record for fewest points allowed in a season.

3. Deangelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart both rush for over 1000 yards.

4. Robert Lester starts over Roman Harper by mid season.

5. Mike Shula is fired after the season ends.

How could you have all that offensive success and then fire the OC?

So a rookie goes for 1000. Our OL so dominant both RBs go for 1000 and we have an alltime D....yet Shula loses his job? We would be 16-0 or 15-1.

Yeah that great of a run game and a good show of our WR corps would be awesome with a #1 D

damnit I forgot all about Brandon Williams!

I was struggling to find two more predictions in my op

I no longer believe that Norman will make the team but I do believe that Short will have at least 4 sacks this year

KB13 won't be a yards guy IMO. He'll be a 10+ TD guy

Here are a few:

1. At the end of the season, not counting Cam, Tolbert will be our leading rusher and the #2 will be someone other than DW or Jstew.

2. Dickson finishes #3 in receiving TDs.

3. Hardy finishes with 20+ sacks.

4. Decoud finishes with 7 ints on his way to a big contract somewhere else.

^ that is a bold prediction to even use innovative and Shula in the same sentence.

My only prediction would be one of our guys - but hoping mainly Ealy - gets a good hit on Brees (which is legal). And Bree's misses a couple games or all.

It's a bold prediction and I'm shameless.

Has the season started yet? Have we even played are 1st game yet? So how do you know all this?Paper don't matter when it comes to football last time I checked you actually have to play the games 1st.What's the next Powerball #s in TX gonna be? Since you no so much & all.

That goes both ways bud. How can all of these people say we're about to finish 13-3 and then spew this "logic" when someone says we'll be 8-8 or worse?
