im not sold on randle... and even less convinced if he has a red flag due to an injury. i like the suggestion of trading back for an additional asset if he falls to us. id be much happier if the hornets picked adreian payne - even though he's older, im sure he can come in and contribute straight away and compliment big al.

I'm sold enough on him at 9.

His rebounding and explosive play translate day one. I see a athletic Zach Randolph in his game. You take him and be very happy if he falls.

I see him as DeMarcus Cousins but with a basketball IQ.

I'd rather start Cody Zeller at PF than a short guy with short arms like Randle. That mess in this video isn't going to work in the NBA.

Cousins is basically 6'11 in shoes with a 7.6 ft wingspan.

If Randle had that, I'd be all for him. Even worse for Randle is, if he's not dunking (which he won't do as much of in the NBA), he tends to play well below the basket and doesn't have a good jumpshot, which means he'll likely struggle on offense, and he isn't known for his defense, so...

Trade the pick, please.

I would love Randle here. But this could also open the door to a team wanting to trade up to get him

Exactly what I was thinking. Really don't have the need for Randle, personally think he's overrated he could bully people in college not the pros . Think his game & career will be like Beasley. If he's their rather trade out to pick up a 1st next yr. Need Shooters & players to create on the outside.

I think Randell is a future 20-10 player and will probably average about 2 blocks as well. We would have one of the top front courts in the NBA if we get him and he develops into what he is supposed to become. I think he needs to develop his offensive game but at worst he will be a 10-10 player.

If we get a top SF in free agency the we will have a top 5 front court. I think Randle is better than Gordon and only Vonleth may be better.

Cody Zeller wingspan: 6'10.75"

Julius Randle wingspan: 7'0"

7 foot tall + 6'11 wingspan > 6'9 (barely) + 7ft wingspan

Randle played in the post in college because he had no reason to go anywhere else, he was too strong and skilled for most teams to stop him.  He has a good stroke (70% on FTs) so I have no doubt the rest of his game will develop.

He is Kevin Love size, easily big enough to play PF, and strong enough to play C for stretches.  I dont know if he fits the team right now, but he would be the best prospect available if he falls to 9

Ask Bismack Biyombo about wingspan, it hasn't helped him so far.
