PantherWake 2,563 Report post Posted June 24, 2014 Disclaimer: Idk if this has been posted or not but if it has just ignore http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2014/06/02/2014-season-record-projections-playoffs-seahawks-colts/9767615/ NFC SouthSaints 11-5 (3): Rookie Brandin Cooks adds new layer of mayhem to offense, but undervalued D could also take Saints a long way.Falcons 10-6: Their problems in pits have been addressed, but Julio Jones' health could determine playoff prospects.Panthers 7-9: They lost a lot of key bodies in free agency, which probably means a lot of lost ground in standings.Buccaneers 3-13: Big gamble that 2013 Josh McCown is real deal, and journeyman QB of previous 11 years is gone for good. How the hell are the Falcons gonna go 10-6 with that defense? I see us going 10-6 Discuss....

Dex 13,316 Report post Posted June 24, 2014 I'm not totally sold on us advancing or even making the playoffs yet. But I can tell you we will have back to back winning seasons.
BettyBangzer 121 Report post Posted June 24, 2014 Most of the people making these predictions don't even follow the Panthers - they have no clue.

pantherj 2,557 Report post Posted June 24, 2014 7-9? We have the second best defense in the NFL and we're to lose to 9 teams? God. What impotent little writer came up with that prediction? I think Cam would literally vomit a the podium if we lost 9 freaking games.

mc52beast 2,581 Report post Posted June 25, 2014 I guess the team returning it's entire front 7, and having the 2nd ranked defense means nothing to the morons who make these meaningless predictions. And how many "key" bodies did we lose... Smith, Gross. Our receiving corp was not that great in 2013 and actually looks better this year.

Apparently, the Panthers should have kept what they had and overpaid for total mediocrity using the non-existent cap space.
CarolinaNCSU 5,447 Report post Posted June 25, 2014 I think we go 9-7 to 10-6 this year barring major injuries. We were damn near unbeatable in close games last year, that will come back down to the median and take a couple wins away. I think the offense will be improved (should the OL at least be average) and the defense is still great. Would love to see a return guy emerge on special teams, though. I feel like this could look like one of the Giants' Super Bowl teams where they limp into the playoffs as a wildcard, and then make some noise.
