I have my opinion too. As I've said, MJ wasn't the greatest pure shooter either, especially early in his career. Cam=MJ. GOAT=GOAT. More rounds the mental chamber for Cam.

We're not talking about Vick or RG3 here.

Cam is a very capable passer in the Brett Favre / John Elway mode,  He's not always pinpoint accurate but he generally puts the ball where it's catchable.  Like most gunslinger types, he'll mix in a fair share of spectacularly perfect throws and the occasional unfortunate "WTF" type throw as well, but overall he gets the job done.

Consistency is his biggest weakness right now (again, like a lot of gunslingers).  Most of that owes to bad footwork, some of which owes to being chased around a lot because his protection hasn't exactly been elite.

My hope for this offseason: Work on his being a more consistent passer while offering him the kind of protection that will give him the time to make those improvements.

I'd much rather have a stationary QB that can throw it 15 yards on point than a running one that can throw it 30 yards in a general direction. outside of highlights he won't bring much to the table as far a winning games.

even in 2013 he took more of a game manager role and let the defense do all the work.

Unfortunately true.

There's only one more thing that really needs to be said here.

Who says accuracy and running ability are mutually exclusive?

Remember Steve Young?

Not in the context of today's NFL. The only mobile great passer is Wilson. and even at that he's only runs when absolutely needed.  It's not a primary threat like it is for Cam/Kap/RG3 etc.

Kaepernick and RG3 I'll give you, but Newton's worked very hard on being a passer first.

A lot of last year's running was necessitated by OL issues.  If that's fixed this year, I think you'll see changes.

We'll see. If he can truly be a consistent passer he'll probably be the best offensive weapon in the league.

Top Whatever ranking lists pretty much always are.

You say Peyton Manning is ranked higher in the Top 100 than Aaron Rodgers?  Big deal.  I'd still take either one.

People act like it's some huge insult, but honestly so what? I don't really give a flying rip where my team's QB or MLB or WR or whomever rank on some arbitrary list as long as they win games.

I care a small degree, frankly because I think it matters to a small degree. This is usually where you look at me like Im crazy, but bare with me if you will a second.

Did Michael Jordan Kobe and Lebron get "star" fouls? Dont they get a little special treatment from time to time, more or less? Does this happen in all sports more or less?

Well thats directly applicable to these popularity contest lists. The more Cam becomes a household name, the more likely it is that he will get that illegal contact to the QB's head call. The more they put down the Panthers the more likely theyre willing to give that Luke/Brady play at the end of the Pats game back to the Pats and say FIRST N GOAL NEW ENGLAND. Fortunately Luke already had a growing name and the result was "Nope Tommy T.T*, your pass was underthrown"

The hard truth is that games are influenced by media/fan reactions. Not "decided by". . influenced.

So many huddlers are quick to point at others here like they have an inferiority complex. Its not a complex. These are true circumstances that we have witnessed many times. It would be very presumptuous for anyone to point fingers and claim that another is insecure for that reason.
