Unless Hendo is gone Lance isn't coming here. Damn that's a big contract, I hope he produces.

Not when we have more than one roster spot to fill and people on this board are telling me that Lance is getting $12 mil per year.

Completely false statments

Don't assume anything. I'm not your "bud" We have more than 20 under the cap. Do some research before making false statements why don't ya?

We are not more than $20 mil under the cap. I'm very cap and stat savvy as I worked primarily in stats for a college football team. Everything I've ever said has been backed up by facts.

It's time to grow up a little SuperJ. Just because my opinion isn't yours doesn't mean you have to get upset. The difference is my opinion has a strong base in stats.

And this is a great pickup. He can flat out score and lock down opposing teams.

Would his contract be considered an asset next season?

Awh, you worked for a college football team? Must have been nice. My opinion has been right more than yours. Last offseason you begged for Hendo right?

$20 mil under the cap
- $7 mil
----------
$13 mil left

Assuming we sign a backup point guard for the MLE ($5.5 mil) that takes us out of Stephenson sweepstakes.

Sorry bud.

What if we sign a player on the roster from last season? Like Pargo

I posted our cap breakdown in another thread but I will repost here with addition of Williams (assuming a flat $7,000,000):

Current salary: $50,312,999

Cap floor: $56,759,000

Salary Cap: $63,200,000

Tax Line: $76,829,000

Needed to hit floor: $6,446,001

Cap space: $12,887,001

Unless we can bring in 2 PG's for $887k Lance isn't gonna be here. We don't even have the Bird rights to Ridnour so even that isn't an option. No Lance, sorry SuperJ.

We overpaid.

Not only did we overpay but we didn't even manage to get a team option in the second year. For all we know Williams could be an awful starter (he was a backup in Utah) and then we are stuck with him for an extra year.

As fans we get caught in the now, when franchises are often thinking about the long game.

One could theorize that Gordon Hay was the "GUY" for the Hornets this offseason. Someone they considered the piece to make them contenders. With the Jazz fuging themselves in the ass by matching our offer the Hornets move to a position to stay in the hunt while creating future assests. Looking prepare for the next move to get their missing piece.

We don't have the Bird rights to Pargo. Pargo signed a 1 year deal last year. Ridnour I think we have the bird rights to, but do you want to reup with that?
